We ate here over the past weekend for the first time! We live in Tennessee but my Dad grew up here in New Richmond! He wanted to show us around! He said he use to eat here all the time so of course we had to try it! We all loved it! The decor & little hometown feel was so welcoming! The older lady who took our order & brought us our foods was very hospitable & accommodating! The food was fresh & delicious! Some note worthy mentions are ⬇️⬇️⬇️
•Double cheese burger
•Pork Tenderloin Sandwich
•Coleslaw
•Footlong Coney
•Cincinnati Chili Bowl
•Cheese Fries
Highly recommend this blast from the past style diner/cafe! We will definitely come back if ever visiting the area again!

Stopped in for lunch and we really enjoyed our visit. We tried the pork tenderloin and big fish on rye with a side of cheese fries. The food was great and service was warm and welcoming. We were checked on during our meal to see if we needed anything else. Can’t wait to go back for ice cream next.

The service is personable and the place is so cozy, clean and unique. Outdoor, indoor, or carryout… Truly a good small town dairy bar .. try the chili and soft serve malts or cones.. All fabulous! Affordable, fresh and yummy! Burgers are good as well

It’s cash only – but they do have an old shady ATM that looks like it’ll steal your debit card info, so there’s that. The decor in the place is pretty cool. Like walking into an 80s time capsule, so they get a bonus point for that (but ya can’t eat decor) The appliances also seem to match in the way that they haven’t been replaced since the 80s lol. Seriously they have a lemonade machine that I don’t think has been made for over 20 years, but that’s not a huge deal either. Kinda cool if you like that mildew taste that gives ya a headache. (Not my groove but some people are into that)
Now let’s talk about the food. Everything is a few dollars more than what it’d cost at a chain like gold star, and that’d be alright if the portions weren’t ridiculously small for what ya pay for -we’re talking $6 for like 8 crinkle cut cheese fries.
Here’s the one thing. The cardinal sin of an ice cream shop. They won’t let ya get a darn spoon to taste a flavor before you commit to it! So if you’re indecisive like me, don’t come here lol. You won’t feel satisfied with wondering if the black raspberry soft serve was better than the other one. Overall, this spot could be Soo much better and it’s just disappointing. Maybe this was the spot back in its day, but it’s definitely not anymore.

A supremely great local eatery. You really owe it to yourself to pick up an ice cream cone from here if you’re in the area and they’re open!

Nice little place in New Richmond. Has soft serve and typical food fair for similar facilities.

Great friendly service. Love the addition of flavoring right in the soft serve as it’s going in the cone. Super creamy almost like custard.

American dairy bar as it gets. Tasty treats and good food at a reasonable price. Just bring cash unless you want to add an ATM fee. No worries if you forget as there’s one inside.
