Second time at Deer Park and the food and service both times have been great. Love the old historic building vibe. Menu is ample with many different dishes from apps, salads, sandwiches and entrees. Food is consistently delicious. Outdoor porch seating is great on a warm day.

Had a great time at the Deer Park last Sunday for brunch – Our server Victoria was amazing! Enjoyed the bloody mary bar (lots of choices and only $5! Then the big breakfast was unreal: Eggs, tater tots, french toast and I chose bacon but they even had scrapple. Highly recommend!!!

Stopped here for a late lunch with my husband and daughter while traveling. I had the turkey burger with sweet potato fries. My daughter had a burger with French fries. And my husband had the smoked salmon BLT with tater tots. The turkey burger was average but the sweet potato fries were probably the best I ever had. My daughter’s burger was very good but her fries were cold. My husband’s sandwich was good but his tater tots had a very odd flavor. He sent the tater tots back thinking there was something wrong with them, but the fresh batch tasted strange also. The service and atmosphere was decent which increased the rating. The kitchen closes from 2p-3p so they can prepare for the transition from lunch to dinner.

My mother and i had dinner here saturday evening and were so happy with our experience. Our server Aiden was truly incredible, if we find ourselves in the area again we’d love to request him as our server. The food was amazing, i had the short rib grilled cheese and my mother had the mahi tacos. They were able to modify the tacos to accomodate a gluten intolerance, putting it on a bed or cilantro rice rather than a tortilla. It turned out beautiful and everything was delicious. We also got espresso martinis that were really well done.

Yes, this is a college bar, but the food is absolutely stellar! The service was quick and on point. You will have to listen to loud music no matter where you are in the bar. We had the potstickers, the Berry Salad, and the Braised short rib with garlic potatoes and asparagus. Prices are fair and park8ng is free. The best part? There was everyone from freshman students to elderly couples, and the staff took great care of everyone. We will definitely be coming back.

Charging extra for cheese on a burger feels unnecessary, especially since most people expect it as a standard topping. It gives the impression of nickel-and-diming customers, which can take away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Including it in the base price would feel more straightforward and customer-friendly. It’s a small detail, but it ended up leaving a bigger impression than it should have and slightly distracted from the quality of the rest of the food. With just a minor adjustment like that, the overall experience would feel much more polished and thoughtful.

It’s a great place with good food. But the best part is that it’s right by the frat houses so a lot of times u can watch the hot guys jogging shirtless as ur eating outside. Some good food and some good eye candy is always nice!!

The Tavern Sandwich was one of the most savory and flavorful sandwiches I’ve had in a long time. Thinly sliced ham, fig jam, Brie cheese, apple slices, mixed greens, roasted garlic mayo on ciabatta.

I’d like to start off by saying our waitress was awesome, the food tasted great, and the atmosphere was as I remember it – typical old time bar type.
I’ve gotta say, though, it puts a bad taste in my mouth when an establishment charges $1.00 for cheese? Did I read the menu correctly? For real? My gut tells me most people want cheese on their burgers and you’d come off as less petty if you just included the cheese in the price you charge. It kind of overshadowed the rest of the food.
The pretzels were excellent and the mustard awesome.
The burgers were good, as were the French fries.
The French onion soup was good.
Would I go back? Maybe sometime.
