Stopped in for a late lunch on a whim, while traveling to Clayton, GA.
Let me just say the burgers were EXCELLENT! I had the cheeseburger with cheese curds and it was unique and delicious. The fries were perfect too, hot and cooked to perfection. Service was attentive and the food came out fast. I highly recommend the Arnold Palmer for a drink.
The added “gem” to this out of the way place was…..all the friendly patrons. This is a local spot for folks in Reading but everyone was very welcoming and friendly.

Great place to FILL UP . Large servings. Reasonably prices . Waitress was kind, and efficient. For those traveling north south it maybe a bit off the trail, but worth the detour.

If you’re in the CSRA, do yourself a favor and make the drive, it’s worth it! This place is a hidden gem, and the new management is keeping the magic alive. The burgers are excellent but the real star of the show is the poutine, it’s a game changer. Amazing staff as well. Been coming for years and it still delivers! One of the best spots to grab a bite in the whole CSRA!

We had the poutine, a chicken club, the biggest cheeseburger ever w/ a side of onion rings. Everything was delicious. Neither of us could finish our meals.

Such a warm, welcoming vibe! Down home, delicious food! I had the hot chopped steak plate, and I was so impressed! Caleb had the cheeseburger, and the sign is right. They do have the best cheeseburger in town! Do yourself a favor and stop in!

Deep South is one of those hidden gems. A country hideaway for impactful flavors and quiet charm away from the city. The cheese lovers hamburger is a lot more balanced than it sounds. They are famous for their curds, and this sandwich is the perfect example of proportionate flavor. You won’t be disappointed if you visit this place. Everything is made fresh to order.

restaurant just off the highway in Deering, Georgia, with about five tables as you come in the front door with a counter just beyond the tables.
The restaurant is decorated with dairy related and patriotic items. The two ladies taking orders were friendly and willing to talk about the restaurant and menu items. The menu has a variety of dishes. one of them being an interesting dish called Poutine(a mix of meat, fries.cheese curds and gravy)There were several unique variations of hamburgers and other sandwiches. And, j as the name indicates, there were cheese curds locally made, for sale. I ordered and would highly recommend the Mega Melt and onion rings. This establishment is very supportive of the Military and the food is delicious.Deep South Cheese and Grill would be a very good choice for a lunch. stop to eat in or to take out

Had never heard of poutine until a friend of mine from Canada told me about it now. I love it. I get that every time we go. Usually get the big plate so I can bring some home and eat it later. They have the best cheesecake I have ever tasted and it is homemade everyday. This time we were lucky enough that they had a whole pie available for us so we bought it and brought it home and ate it on it for 3 days. It is a great little place that used to be a service station but the food is absolutely wonderful
