Elena and Franco are amazing and so welcoming! LB is definitely blessed to finally have a legit italian pastry shoppe and caffe! I mean real sfogliate, rainbow cookies and lobster tails (which for the uninitiated is an amazing italian dessert), who could ask for more. I’m also so happy we’re able to have a great coffee spot where Gentle Brew used to be. No need to go OTB for italian desserts!

De Café in Long Beach is an exceptional café with some of the best croissant sandwiches I have ever tasted. The croissants are perfectly flaky and buttery, filled with fresh and flavorful ingredients. The prosciutto with green pesto and arugula is outstanding, and the salami with red pesto is equally delicious. The breakfast croissants with fluffy eggs and crisp bacon are also excellent.
Every dish is presented beautifully, with attention to detail such as the cherry tomato garnish. The quality of the ingredients is clear in every bite.
The cappuccino and the crema di caffè are both excellent, with fresh, rich flavors that taste as if they came straight from Italy.
Francesco, the owner and chef, brings his passion for authentic flavors to the menu, ensuring each sandwich is prepared to perfection. Maica, co-owner and the warm and welcoming presence at the front of the house, makes every guest feel valued from the moment they arrive.

My to go spot! I love this place so much, its like stepping into Italy every time. I come here 2-4 times a week for my morning pick me up. I also get my family and coworkers birthday cakes here. The attachment pictures are to two cakes that were made for my 2 year old birthday parties. Everyone loved the design and taste of the cakes. I highly recommend this business for a coffee drink / croissant or something more like their delicious cakes.

The lovely owner is often working at the counter, and its clear she cares very much about her customers experiences, the quality of service, and the delicious pastries. Everything is always prepared to look and taste beautiful, and it truly feels like a mom-and-pop cafe. It’s a sweet and warm place to visit for a treat or a coffee.

Incredible croissant and tiramisu. Coffee is a step above the rest and so is the service. The owners are originally from Italy and bring their skill and expertise to this establishment. I highly recommend for anyone that’s looking for a few levels up on service and quality. My only nitpick is the fluorescent or cool lighting. I’m always feel it’s best to have warm lighting in restaurants and cafes where you are trying to create a relaxing atmosphere

It was a blast. Nice pretty place and good pastries they have. We went here a few days ago and it was so great! I took a few cakes to go and coffee grounds. We ate it at home and everything is so good. We will surely come back for more. Plus their all very nice and helpful in there. Keep it up, team!

Fantastic new bakery and coffee shop. My iced coffee was excellent. We bought cookies and a double mousse cake. All were high quality. Place is spotless. There are tables if you want to hang for awhile.

A step above every other bakery I’ve been to in Long Beach. The shop is beautiful and well lit with friendly (albeit at times somewhat slow) service. The variety of pastries and frozen desserts is amazing. Everything is extremely high end and meticulously presented. A strong recommend for lovers of European style pastries.
