Visited Puerto Rico years ago and have always missed the food, so I was really excited to hear about this spot here in Nash. I went with a friend and we had a great time. The staff were super friendly, and the place had a really comfy, cozy vibe.
We ordered two mofongos, one with pork and one with shrimp. Both were good. The plantains were garlicky and flavorful, the pork was tender, and the shrimp were well seasoned.

I was looking up a place to eat for lunch and stubbled across this place with basically a 5 star review. Let me tell you this may be the best spot i have eaten in the La Vergne/ Smyrna area. The food was excellent, big portions, and prepared with love. But what puts this place over the top is the excellent service. I hardly knew what to get on the menu and needed help. The lovely lady up front took her time and explained what to get and had a smile and great service all the way through. I will definitely be back! ❤️

The food at this restaurant was very good (I recommend it). However, I think the service needs improvement. I went with my family, and we only received one napkin per person. I ordered a typical dish from the restaurant, and they gave me a different one. The drinks, which should have been cold, weren’t. I asked for a glass with ice, and they practically gave me the ice as we were finishing our meal.

This very cozy Restaurant, brings you back to PR, very friendly staff, the atmosphere is great. Pictures on the wall makes you feel back home on PR. Family own. So you the warmth of the Staff, 3 generations working together.
The food was delicious, with all the great flavors from Puerto Rico!!! Some of the paintings were done by one of the owners… definitely recommended. Will visit again before I go back to Florida.

My pictures truly don’t capture it, but the food here is incredible! I stumbled upon this place while traveling through and I’m so glad I did. If you’re craving Puerto Rican food, I highly recommend it. I ordered the Alcapurria de Yuca, three empanadillas (chicken, beef, and pizza), traditional arroz con gandules, flan de queso, and a pineapple soda. Every bite was amazing! Also the people are very friendly.
