We popped in late on Saturday 10th Jan 26 hoping we were not too late to get a table, the waiters were very polite and sorted a table straight away.
As it was late we went straight for mains.
The waiter was so helpful in the knowledge of the dishes as we fancied something different.
The meals came out quite quickly not a long wait at all and they were delicious and generous size portions.

We were delighted to spend a lovely evening with family at Restaurant de la Zouch. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by a waiter with a jolly and friendly attitude, who helped us settle in and guided us through the menu.
We were first served drinks, followed by papadoms with a selection of condiments.
For starters, we enjoyed a mixed platter of lamb shish kebab, lamb tikka, and lamb chops, served with fresh salad and mint sauce. After a short break, our main courses arrived: king prawn jalfrezi, which was perfectly spiced and absolutely delicious, along with lamb bhuna, chicken saag, and tarka dal, which my mum especially enjoyed.
To accompany the mains, we had roti, keema rice, and boiled rice. We finished the evening with desserts, which rounded off the meal nicely.
Service: 10/10
Food: 10/10
Atmosphere: 8/10

my sister and I went to have dinner and we were served by Amirul. He was lovely and made us feel very welcomed and comfortable. We had no trouble in waiting for a table or food or anything at all. The food was very delicious and we enjoyed it so much. We had such a lovely time as he was very welcoming and lovely towards customers. Will definitely be recommending to my family and friends and will definitely be coming again. We loved it!!!! :)))))

Came across this nice, cosy Indian restaurant in Ashby which we visited with friends and the food was absolutely mouthwatering.
For starters we ordered sheek kebabs, chicken tikka and lamb tikka as well as lamb chops which was served with mint sauces. Starters were succulent and had lots of flavours to it.
For mains I ordered the chefs sizzling which has noodles in it as well, as I’m a noodles lover which absolutely hit the spot. Waiters were really attentive as we were served by Taj with absolute top quality incredible service. Definitely will be back soon with friends and family!

Great experience at Ashby de la Zouch. The atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable, and the food was excellent — fresh, full of flavour, and well presented with generous portions.
The service really stood out. Amirul, who served us, was friendly, professional, and very attentive throughout the visit. He made great recommendations and checked in at the right times, which made the whole experience even better.
Overall, a lovely place with great food and outstanding service. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely went above and beyond to make our evening special. I had mistakenly told one of our party that the restaurant served traditional English food, but rather than disappoint us, the team were incredibly accommodating — they even set aside a chicken breast to prepare a delicious grilled chicken and chips. This thoughtful gesture perfectly reflected the restaurant’s commitment to excellent customer care. Combined with a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and great food, it made for a truly memorable dining experience. We left feeling very well looked after and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for outstanding service and a welcoming place to dine.

This place looked quite busy compared to other’s out there so I thought let me give it a try as I took a few of my friends. The staff were very attentive and greeted us well, but it didn’t take long till i got served by Taj he did recommend us a handful of starters and also recommended me my main as it was very popular dish. The quality of food, service, atmosphere was amazing will be coming here again if am near by. Thanks Taj

We had an outstanding experience at De La Zouch! From the moment we arrived, the warm welcome and attentiveness from Amirul (and the rest of the team) made us feel truly valued. The food was packed with authentic, rich flavours — every dish was fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The service was friendly and professional throughout, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. This has quickly become one of our favourite places to eat in Ashby — highly recommended for anyone.

My partner and I visited this place for a meal. It was amazing!!! The food was impeccable. We were both served by amirul who was very sweet. We had no issues with anything at all. My best friend and I went for a meal in the evening. The atmosphere was lovely. Amirul served us and he was very kind. He was very well spoken and made sure we were both well taken care off. He made sure we had no issues and enjoyed our time there, which we did no doubt. The food was so tasty and we loved everything!!! The environment was amazing. So lovely.
