Took a little trip to this quaint Mexican restaurant out east. Esthetically is was cool and had that rustic Mexican cantina vibe.
We sat outside on the patio because the weather this time of year is amazing. However, beware of the birds in the tree overhead, things can get messy.
It’s a small, but cool restaurant and wasn’t overly busy.
The presentation of the food was as expected. A full sized meal with healthy proportions.
The food was well prepared but not overly flavorful. I didn’t expect A1 authentic Mexican cuisine, but it was decent and fairly enjoyable. The steak in the tacos was a little gristly, but good.
The drinks were really good and well crafted.
Our server was really nice and accommodating.

We came in waited for 25 minutes for a table with multiple open tables. When we finally ordered. Took forever to get one quesadilla. Server never came back to see if food was good or if we needed refill. Her whole attitude changed when she realized we were sharing food. I managed a restaurant for 20 years. I know servers don’t do the same for people they think they won’t get tipped well from.

Our first time there. We sat on the patio. A pleasant experience. A cooler night, so they had large space heaters. Nice accommodation. Music provided by a singer with guitar. Service and food were great. Nice vibe.

7 stars for service! Tina was outstanding tonight. She helped 2 newbies make excellent choices, shrimp fajitas and shredded chicken burrito. Super efficient (food arrived fast!) and a joy to be part of our great day exploring the area. Our friends visit regularly and noted she’s been the best so far, and I will definitely come back here when in town myself.

The food was good, but the service was not. It took almost an hour for us to get our food. We are pretty sure our server forgot to put in our order but not one fessed up to it. The couple seated after us had eaten and left before we even got our food. Our water glasses were never refilled either.
What is the motivation for giving good service though when the gratuity is already added for a table of 5 or more? So they got there 20% either way.

We stopped for a quick beverage and snack. Even though it is in a strip mall, it feels like it is a separate location. The guacamole was super fresh and a great price. They have a great shaded patio and on cooler nights they have patio heaters and an outdoor fireplace.

This is THE BEST Mexican food I have ever eaten. The rich flavors were unforgettable. Food was served piping hot, outside on their scenic patio. Our waitress was so pleasant and attentive. The portion sizes were huge and prices were very fair. Two of us got the carne asada and the slab of steak was almost as big as the plate. I got the veggie enchiladas and they were amazing. If we lived here we would visit often.

The food, service and atmosphere were excellent! I had the shrimp enchiladas and my son had the grilled steak soft tacos, we were both very happy. The salsa, served with chips, when we arrived was very good as well.

I ordered on grubhub for pickup. When I ordered a combination, it asked what side (rice or beans), but online, it says it comes with both rice and beans. So choose rice, and in the notes, say refried beans, and you’ll get them both. I didn’t put the refried beans on one dish, and it only came with rice, no beans. Also, I ordered Fajitas, but it didn’t come with tortillas, so say in the notes, add tortilla to get some. Use the notes!
Check your order!!!! They forgot my sopapillas and one taco.
Pros –
The food was great. The chips and salsa were very good, not spicy. Shrimp enchiladas were tasty, but they were more like shrimp tacos with green salsa. Fajitas was filled with peppers and onions, and I would have loved it if it had tortilla. Carne con queso was delicious with their chips. The Azteca soup was great.
Cons –
I’d stay away from the cheese enchiladas, cus it was just red tomato sauce, not what I wanted. The green tamales were very lack luster. Sopapilla was coved in Hershey chocolate sauce, I didn’t peticularly like it.
The servers were pleasant and very helpful. But not the best experience. With all the mistakes.
