Omfg!!!!! Not sure how long this gem has been here, but the food was fabulous!!! I ate a Cubarito chicken sandwich. A large mango passion fruit drink with a side of tostones/Maduro. I was planning to have a coffee and dessert. But super full with that sandwich. Definitely will return to try other items. The ppl working were very friendly and consistent in checking if I needed anything. I loved it!!!

I can’t believe I hadn’t come to this restaurant sooner. The food is delicious, like truly delicious. I’ve tried other Puerto Rican restaurants, and none compare to this one. Our waitress was super friendly, and the prices are very affordable. I definitely recommend it! We will definitely keep coming back.

The woman at the counter was super nice and even let us have her pick out aguas frescas flavors, both of which were super good. Wow… D’cache is the real deal! If you’re craving Cuban or Puerto Rican food, this spot is a must. From the second you walk in, the vibe is warm, lively, and feels like family.
The food? Out of this world. The mofongo is hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had, the ropa vieja melts in your mouth, and the rice and beans taste like they came straight from abuela’s kitchen. Everything is seasoned perfectly, packed with flavor, and the portions are no joke.
The service is just as good as the food—super friendly, quick, and they make you feel right at home. Pair that with the music and energy, and it feels more like a celebration than just dinner.
Bottom line: D’cache is a gem. Go hungry, leave happy, and don’t forget to order dessert!

Everytime I’ve come, I’ve brought someone with me… my last time going I was annoyed with the owner. I don’t eat Arroz Con Gandules con Grande Pimientos. No. Absolutely not. I eat Arroz Con Gandules asi. Sometimes I’ll add olives or carne depending.. anyways I ordered the rice and it comes with big peppers cut up and the gandules looked burnt, the rice didn’t look fresh… I told the waiter I don’t want it because I don’t eat Arroz Con Gandules with peppers and asked to remove it from my bill, she said I have to pay for it… the owner comes out and says “I never heard of a restaurant serving you food and take it back because you don’t like it and not charging you” … GIRL! In my 33 years of living, I have worked at restaurants and had to take food back and not charge the customer! You didn’t want to do it for whatever reason but don’t speak on what other restaurants do… I’ve been to many that treated me better. My very first time was an amazing experience. I do not remember the young ladies name but she did amazing!! That was the only time I enjoyed the experience… I went to pick up empanadas a couple times but the last dine in was over for me. And to top it off I drive 45 minutes each way from up north west Chicago! Oh yeah I added in 2 clips from 2 different times I went. The place looks so beautiful with the cultures… hopefully the owner learns people skills and business management … and another thing I don’t know if the cashiers / waiters get the tips on the machine so I tipped the last girl thru her Apple Pay! (I do this all the time when people give me great customer service in return for my business).

Tried this place for the first and definitely will be coming back. The woman behind the counter was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant has a warm cozy vibe I will dine in next time. The cubarito was very delicious and filling. The bistec was well seasoned and tendered. I recommend this place. Try the mango shake! You won’t regret it.

I haven’t had food with such sabor (flavor) in so long that wasn’t cooked at home. Not salty at all. Great service. I’m definitely going back. Ordered the yuca rellenas, papa rellenas, Pollo encebollado, and the lechon. We were surprised with toasted French bread with homemade guava butter!!!!!

They treated me with great hospitality, food and drinks were delicious. First time I had this dish. Whenever I’m back in Chicago I will most definitely be back. I would absolutely recommend this spot if you have a taste for Hispanic/Jamaican food. Great place to eat!!

My partner and I were sooo happily surprised by how good this place was, we both said we would definitely come back if we’re ever in the area again. Wasn’t busy at all for a Friday evening around 6PM, but I hope they get a lot of business later in the night. It’s a small spot, but the decorations are so cute, and the one employee at the front was very sweet and attentive.
– Loaded Nachos: the chips are perfect, and it’s so filling we could barely eat our actual entrees
– Chicken Empanada: absolutely solid
– Cubarito (1 Lechon + 1 Steak): the meat and sauce are delicious, but I always get blindsided expecting the plantain (essentially the bun substitute) to be a bit less dry and always get a little thrown off.
– Philly Quesadilla: sOoooooOo good, I originally wanted to get a quesadilla, but ended up trying the Cubarito, so glad my partner decided to get one. we had leftovers for later, and usually he finishes everything
– Mango Shake: the shake was amazing, and it’s actually enormous, so glad I got the XL because we both ended up drinking it (and my partner isn’t always the biggest fan of mango/mango-flavored things)

Small treasure of a place that holds one of the best authentic Cuban chefs in Illinois. Probably the country… If you have never tried the Cuban Sandwich sliders at this place, you are missing out. Get a platter of them and freeze them at home. The food here is incredibly fresh, it’s very authentic, the Cuban sandwiches are fantastic, and the Ropa Vieja, which is shredded flank steak in a creole tomato sauce served with white rice is so authentic I thought my grandmother made it. No kidding if you live close to this place, I would never cook. If you don’t live close to this place, I would make it a point to come every week to stock up for the entire week. It’s that good. In fact, as I write this, I’m headed there right now to pick up a full tray of Cuban sandwich sliders. My mouth is watering. By the way, they make probably the best Cuban coffee I’ve had in years. You’ll never be able to find it anywhere else in Chicago because the owner has a custom special blend made in Miami and shipped directly to the restaurant Restaurant. You can tell the owner has a great passion for authentic Cuban cooking. The Cuban sandwiches don’t only have one type of ham they have two different types, they have roast pork, they have two different types of cheese, it’s expensive to make them this way, and it’s rare for someone to love what they do so much that they do it the right way regardless of the expense. The result is a Cuban sandwich that’s perfectly balanced and extremely satisfying and rarely found anywhere let alone in Chicago . The roast pork is unbelievably flavorful and so is the shredded flank steak which is called ropa vieja (old clothes)To top it off, the prices are incredible. Do yourself a favor and order a Cuban coffee with sugar, it’s so good you won’t be able to come to this place without ordering one every time. I’ve done a lot of reviews, but I haven’t been this excited for a Restaurant find in a long time.
