I began with the beef tartare, which was beautifully fresh and perfectly balanced — classic flavours done with confidence. The fish of the day was outstanding, cooked exactly right and served with clean, seasonal accompaniments that let the quality of the ingredients shine. Dessert was the lemon tart, sharp, light and refreshing, a great way to finish.
Service was warm, attentive and genuinely welcoming -we were very well looked after without ever feeling rushed. Dax continues to live up to its reputation for fine food and consistency. A fantastic spot for lunch, and one we’ll definitely return to.
The food was outstanding, the flavours were unbelievable the wine choice was good.
It will be a pleasure to go again, hopefully soon.
Would highly recommend a visit to sample the great food and wine.
The Lamb was the best I’ve ever had
Olivier and staff are great!
The ambience is nice and cozy (despite not having a view as the windows were hidden by long curtains), and I would overall recommend this place for a special occasion!
Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the calm ambiance, a refreshing departure from the hustle and bustle outside. The decor is understated yet elegant, allowing the focus to remain squarely on the food and the company.
I started my lunch with the soft scallops, a delicately prepared dish that showcased the chef’s skill and creativity. For the main course, I chose Duck. Each bite was a perfect balance of flavors and textures.
For dessert, I indulged in a sweet finale that surpassed all expectations. Every element of the dish was executed with precision, resulting in a symphony of flavors that danced on my palate.
To accompany my meal, I chose a white wine recommended by the knowledgeable staff. Their expertise added an extra layer of enjoyment to the dining experience, ensuring that each sip perfectly complemented the flavors of the food.
However, what truly set Restaurant Dax apart was the exceptional service.
My experience at Dax was nothing short of extraordinary. From the delectable cuisine to the serene atmosphere and impeccable service, every aspect exceeded my expectations. Whether you’re seeking a quiet lunch or a special evening out, Dax is sure to impress.
Group Christmas lunch but you wouldn’t know it from the quality of the food.
Great selection and large generous portions.
Excellent Christmas cheer atmosphere and superb service.
Highly recommend.
Very cosy and warm!
The service was perfect with Amazing people!
We had a 3 courses menu it comes with appetisers, bread and sides included.
The starters were delicious and well presented. The sauce of both starters made brought it to the next level! Everything was well balanced and not overwhelming.
The mains especially the deer and the Maxim potato were sumptuous! Nothing else to say except it was perfect!
Loved the sourdough bread, the fluffiest I ever had especially when used to soak up the sauce!
