The Hill family opened Dawson’s on Main in June of 2006. We are known for friendly service, great steaks, fresh seafood, local craft beers, and the best Hoosier tenderloin around. Come by and introduce yourself and see what you have been missing. We are a full service restaurant on beautifully renovated Main Street. We are conveniently located directly across the street from the most famous racetrack in the world in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

We had dinner at this great little place this past Sunday night. We were visiting from Colorado and wanted something delicious in Speedway, Indiana on our last night there. This place did not disappoint! The food was amazing, but their staff is incredible. Everyone was so friendly. Which is what made the experience that much better! If we are ever in Indiana again, we will definitely come back here!

Dawsons is an amazing spot to eat. Nice area, plenty of parking. Clean and comfortable atmosphere. Clean restrooms. Staff is exceptional and so is the service. The food is deeeeeelicious, I don’t care what you get, it’ll be guuuuuuuud. A wide variety of menu items, drink and meal daily specials. A back room great for large groups or parties, we do this alot and staff is amazing in dealing with a large group. This restaurant never disappoints!!!

First time visiting this restaurant, we were there for a private dinner party. We had a nice room that was closed off from the rest of the restaurant. The staff was incredibly friendly and expertly handled our party of 15. The food was brought out quickly and tasted fabulous. The Angus cheeseburger was cooked perfectly and the amount of fries were portioned correctly. We are looking forward to returning and exploring more of the menu. We have been looking for a nice restaurant close to home and this so far fits the bill!

What an amazing experience we had at Dawson’s! There were six of us—and at first we were a bit worried we wouldn’t find a spot to sit and watch the game. But to our surprise, they have a great bar area, and Ron, who helped us out, was super friendly and really patient with our whole group.
Now, let’s talk about the food—we all ordered the tenderloin because we’d heard this was the place to get it. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The tenderloin was delicious, juicy, and perfectly breaded—not too heavy, not too salty—and the bun just topped it all off. Everything about it was just delicious. We honestly can’t wait to go back and have another one!

We had a fantastic meal at Dawson’s on Main! The beef tips and calamari steak were hands-down the best we’ve ever had — perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I had the famous pork tenderloin sandwich and it totally lived up to the hype — super crispy, juicy, and delicious.
Our table also had the meatloaf (great mix of beef and Italian sausage with a tasty mushroom glaze), shrimp combo (big, crispy shrimp), and a juicy burger. Everyone enjoyed their meals!
Service was friendly and quick, and we found street parking easily. We’ll definitely be back — and next time, we’re all getting the pork tenderloin and those amazing appetizers again!

Food is great! The smoked pork burger I had was to die for and calamari was recommended was great!! Seating is painful as can be our backs hurt a day after,and server was nice n all and I am reasonable when it comes to dinner waits(I am hoping this is a one off kinda thing) but it took from seating to food 57mins,I would go back for food but be ready to wait and again the chairs HURT and I’m thick so I have cushion and it still hurt.

We started our meal with the Pretzels and Beer Cheese. The pretzels were soft and chewy with the right amount of salt, and the cheese sauce was creamy and delicious. My son ordered the cheeseburger and said it was very bland and flavorless. I tasted it, and I would have to agree that it lacked flavor. My wife ordered the Grilled Chicken Club Sandwich and couldn’t stop raving about it. She it was so delicious. I ordered the Tenderloin sandwich with the toppings, and it was absolutely delicious. A deliciously crispy and crunchy exterior and a juicy center made this sandwich a major hit. The fresh vegetable toppings added that additional crunch that made the sandwich taste even better. The onion rings tasted delicious because it had the right balance of breading, and the breading was perfectly seasoned. The fries were perfectly seasoned as well and had a crispy exterior and soft pillowy interior. The waitress was very friendly and attentive.

The chicken salad sandwich is delicious and served on a croissant. The salad contains celery, grapes and nuts. The side salad is very large. The Atlantic white fish lunch was very tasty. Nicely fried but still moist. The French Fries were battered and extra crispy. We were there for lunch and as it filled up with customers, it got a little noisy. There is outdoor patio seating. Lots of side streets for easy parking.

I was looking for a decent lunch spot while in town for a training, and happened to see this place on maps. Always on the hunt for a great tenderloin, the menu here really intrigued me. I walked in and was immediately seated. The bartender Chad immediately introduced himself and let me know their daily specials. I ordered the breaded tenderloin with fries and got the calamari steak based on Chad’s recommendation. The appetizer came out super fast and was quickly followed by the tenderloin. All of the food I tried was fantastic. I also saw the steak tacos and meatloaf sandwich go by which all looked really great too. This place is well worth the trip and I will be back soon to try more on the menu!
