Football season got you in the mood for gameday fixin’s?
Too tired to cook but don’t want to reach for the regular list of deep fried drive through sit in your car “meal”?
Need a quick delicious bite, to go, in a hurry?
Dawg Gone Crazy has you covered-with onions and mustard.
I made sure to visit during peak hours on grand opening day when things in any opening establishment should be going wrong and I was absolutely thrilled to see this team ahead of the curve, not once from what I could see in the weeds, and already running like a well oiled machine. Bravo to that crew, my hat is off to whoever is running the show there.
The staff is friendly, fast, and helpful.
The service was excellent.
The atmosphere is quaint and feels like you’re walking back into your childhood and running errands downtown with your grandparents and this is their favorite little spot to eat after you visit the seed and feed store- version 2.0.
The shop is decorated with warmth and open floor making it an inviting and welcoming space without being snobby or too high end for an everyday lunch trip while still maintaining the structure of a place I would proudly take a friend who was in town, or a cute date night.
In my opinion, Dawg Gone Crazy is a modern take on a classic favorite without doing too much, and it works, very well.
The bar was totally full when I got there which I was happy to see. I got a plain dawg and a chili cheese dawg with onions and mustard. The plain dawg was delicious, so I knew the quality of the hotdogs was high and could go from there. They have a great bite and the buns are fresh. The chili was hearty and not too acidic, it was a perfect addition to the already delicious dawg and you could tell from the sweet bite of the onions they were incredibly fresh. A delicious mix. I chose coleslaw as my side for the chili cheese dawg meal (only $5 with a drink!) and it was perfectly balanced sweet and tangy side as well as a topping for the dawgs. The cabbage was fresh and the perfect consistency and bite for either a topping or a side. I was happy to see root beer in the cooler and a variety of things other than just coke or Pepsi. This place exceeded my expectations for the chaos I know an opening day can be. Hats off to the team, I can’t wait to stop back in and try the nachos. If I could say one thing-my one and only critique would be to find a desert option for the lunch crowd that works hard and needs a little extra sugar to make it through the end of the day. Other than that? This place rocks, and I will definitely be opting for some Dawgz over the usual pizza the next time I’m having friends over or attending an event. Looking forward to trying out some of the other menu options but definitely check this place out.
