While on our commute, we happened to find this amazing spot for dinner. I was told it was a new establishment, and from the moment we walked in, the place had such a great vibe. The staff was so polite and welcoming, making us feel right at home. I loved the food—it was truly delicious. For anyone who enjoys Indian or Nepalese cuisine, I would highly recommend this place. I’d love to visit again if I get the chance.

I had such a great experience at this place! The ambiance was lovely—really cozy and welcoming. The staff were super polite and professional, and the service was on point the whole time.

Now the food… absolutely amazing. I had the paneer tikka, garlic naan, papad, and mango lassi—everything was so tasty and full of flavor. The paneer was soft and perfectly grilled, the naan was warm and garlicky, and the mango lassi was the perfect mix of sweet and refreshing. Honestly, it’s the best Indian food I’ve ever had.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re craving delicious Indian food in a great atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back!

By far the best Indian food in the entire West Philly area! My wife and I are vegetarians and had been disappointed almost every time we tried Indian restaurants—until we discovered Dawat Indian Cuisine. This place has completely changed our experience, and it’s now our go-to spot for authentic, fairly priced Indian food. Hats off to Mr. Ganesh for his exceptional culinary skills.
We also had Dawat cater for 30 people, and the food was delivered promptly and piping hot. Everything was absolutely delicious. While the samosas are a bit pricey, it’s understandable—getting true India-style street food outside of India comes at a premium.
On the other hand, I wasn’t impressed with the Lachchha Paratha and Kadhai Paneer, and the Dal Makhani was just average. That said, we’ve tried at least 10 other dishes over several visits in the past couple of months, and everything else has been fantastic.
I highly recommend Dawat Indian Cuisine and hope they continue maintaining this high standard in the coming years—ideally improving the few dishes that didn’t quite hit the mark.

Stooped by for lunch and was seriously impressed. I got the lunch special and honestly, it was a steal for what you get. The portions were super generous. I could only make a dent in the food they served. Everything tasted amazing too, from the curry to the naan (which was fresh and fluffy, by the way). The service was just as great — friendly, quick, and really attentive without being overbearing. Definitely one of those places you leave full and happy. Will absolutely be back.

My new favourite restaurant in Collegeville. The Tikka masala dishes are a beautiful silky gravy, like you find at good Indian restaurants. The chef was very friendly and accommodating. I’m a vegetarian and my husband isn’t; but they made things super easy for us.
We also tried their Malai Kofta, Palak Paneer, Pan Asian food like vegetables in hot garlic sauce and veg fried rice, we’re impressed!
It’s very difficult to find your “desi” taste around here; this place just hits the spot. Must try!

Updated Review for Dawti – Collegeville

Dawti in Collegeville offers a fantastic buffet experience for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine. From the moment you step in, the warm and welcoming ambiance sets the stage for a delightful feast. The staff here is exceptional – our server was both helpful and welcoming, enhancing the overall dining experience with attentive and friendly service.

The buffet spread is impressive, featuring a wide variety of dishes that cater to both vegetarians and meat lovers. Highlights included the crisp, golden samosas, a rich and creamy saag paneer, and tender goat curry that melts in your mouth. The chicken biriyani with a cooling yogurt sauce, pairs perfectly with the different curries and stews. The chicken tikka masala is also super tasty.

The freshly baked naan was soft, warm, and great for scooping up the delicious dishes. The mango lassi, available as a refreshing drink, was the ideal balance to the spices in the meal. The chutneys offered – a tangy tamarind, a spicy red, and a refreshing green – were perfect accompaniments, adding an extra layer of flavor to the dishes.

Overall, Dawti’s buffet provides an authentic and diverse dining experience, with a variety of flavors that will satisfy any palate. The friendly, helpful service adds a special touch, making it a must-visit spot for anyone looking to enjoy a flavorful Indian buffet in the Collegeville area!
