We heard about an amazing Indian restaurant in Mexico City and decided to give it a try — Duwat did not disappoint! The flavors were incredible, and the chicken was tender and juicy. The garlic naan was perfectly soft and comforting. It was truly one of our best meals in CDMX! We happened to visit on Diwali and had the privilege of celebrating with sparklers and fireworks, which made the evening even more special. Highly recommend!

Absolutely unacceptable and disgusting experience. Placed a pickup order and was told to wait 45 minutes at the restaurant. I waited the entire time only to receive no food at all—no explanation, no apology. The front staff was rude, arrogant, and completely unbothered. To make it worse, they claimed they ran out of beverage containers and served my tea in an unwashed, reused curry container. This is a serious hygiene issue and totally unacceptable behavior for any restaurant. Worst service I’ve experienced. A complete waste of time. Never coming back.

The food was just average, though the portions were good. The lemonade was really disappointing. Overall, the experience felt mediocre considering the price, which was on the higher side.

I was put off by the bad reviews, but I was in the neigbourhood and decided to give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, which was really tasty. Also to note, they offer a variety of (delicious) classic Indian desserts which you won’t often find on the menu of other restaurants. The atmosphere was a bit cold and empty, but the food and friendly waiters largely make up for it.

This is a place to go if you are craving for real Indian food (in capital & bold letters ). We ordered samosa, vegetarian thali, lemon rice, roti & butter chicken and everything was really tasty. Lemon rice is a must try if you are at this place.
Staff: Courteous and generous
Service: Quick and satisfying
Price: Slightly higher but for Polanco it’s ok
Quantity: A lot of food comes in each serving
Quality: most of the food gives you the real Indian taste

We just ordered from here. The cost of the food was ridiculous. It was $41.50USD/$781.94MXN and it only came with two small bowls (see photo) of our dishes. No rice or anything. These dishes are too spicy to eat alone, so we had to eat them with many tortillas that we happened to have at home. For that price for two people, no drinks or anything additional, we expected much, much more and better. We’ve ordered here before, and knew it was expensive, but the prices feel like they’ve gone up and it’s just not worth it. Plus it took forever for the order to be prepared. We waited so long for this…. We won’t be ordering again. 🙁

We have been in Mexico for over a month and had been craving a proper Indian curry. This place didn’t disappoint!

The drinks and service was fast.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food was freshly made and came in large portions which really filled us up.

They have lots of options, we would highly recommend.

We went for early dinner around 4pm so it was just us and another group.

This is a fair place to test indian food but without authentic test. We have tried chicken Angara(suggested), Paneer tikka, chicken lasuni kabab in starters. In Main course we ordered Garlic naan tandoori roti, chicken Biriyani and Mutton Rogan Joose (Suggested). All Suggested is bad and not worth it to try. Naan is good. Biriyani is like rice in chicken gravy.

You will get valet parking here.
