The staff was cordial. The food was fresh and flavorful. We ordered the spicy brisket beef soup and the seafood spicy soup. Both were very good, if you enjoy spicy food. It was my first time trying the kimchi pancake as an appetizer. Very nice!

The food here is absolutely phenomenal! I cannot speak to the authenticity of it since 1. We aren’t Korean and 2. There aren’t that many Korean restaurants in CT, but I can speak for it being tasty! The service was great and it came out fast. Highly recommend the tteokbokki. Will be coming back!

Excellent food! To be honest, I’m surprised how fast their service is too despite the busy restaurant when I arrived. I ordered the beef bibimbap which was excellent. I do recommend the squid bibimbap after trying my friend’s squid bibimbap—it was the most flavorful bibimbap I’ve ever had. I will definitely come back more for their squid bibimbap alone. A must try!

Best Korean fare in the State! Fantastic service. We called ahead to inquire about the closing time on a Monday night. We were told the kitchen closed at 9:30 PM and the dining room was open until 10:00 PM. We were running behind schedule, so we placed our order over the phone, and when we arrived 10 minutes later at 9:20, they had a table set up with our cold dishes. Our hot dishes arrived shortly thereafter, and our meal was delicious, and the servings were so large that we took home enough for a second meal the next day. The experience exceeded expectations, and this was appreciated all the more since we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. Thanks to everyone at DAWA who made our meal a special one!

I’ve been wanting Korean food for ages, someone mentioned this restaurant to me. I placed an order at the restaurant, and did not have to wait long at all, I’ve been wanting tteokbokki with mozzarella cheese for ages, all I can can is the food is delicious! Loved the fish cakes, and the seafood scallion pancake is so good, I’m excited to eat my Jjajangmyeon for dinner. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant!
