Before heading home, we stopped by The Maine Beer Cafe after our weekend adventures with the family. We would not typically pick a bar atmosphere for our family but the food posted online looked really good and we just had to try it. There were not many people working so even though the service wasn’t super fast, we knew the bartender was going as fast as she could. We were in no rush so we were just enjoying relaxing after such a long day. We ordered a variety of food and I have to say it was absolutely amazing and incredible in every way possible. The buffalo chicken wrap was fresh and absolutely hot hot hot. The classic burger was really juicy topped with cheese and tomatoes. Everything was super fresh. We enjoyed chips and cucumbers as sides, which is a nice change-up from the typical eatery. Their main side choice is potato salad. Great selections of sides. As for the atmosphere, the inside is small. Mostly bar patrons filled the bar area. The crowd appeared to be very local and close knit with the staff. It was nice and clean. The bathroom also has a very interesting appeal with many decals that decorate the walls from different beverage companies. I would love to visit again should I find myself in the area.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when I breakfast spot we were planning on going was unexpectedly closed and we couldn’t have been happier with the find . The food was absolutely delicious. Our lobster roll was packed with flavor and the build your own burritos were a fun and tasty option. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the owner personally introduced himself, which added a nice personal touch. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking on us throughout the meal to make sure we were enjoying everything. The bathroom was spotless, which is always a bonus. It’s a great spot to meet up with friends or family. We never felt rushed, and in fact, they even took a picture of us, which felt like a lovely gesture. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.

My partner and I have been here a couple of times and have enjoyed every visit. They serve high quality pub food, but had a special for “Dave’s Famous Lobster Rolls” for $18 this weekend. Honestly one of the better lobster rolls that we’ve each had on the seacoast in a while, and at a great price.
Would highly recommend this place for lunch or a quick bite!

WOW….Stumbled into this place as we were heading home to Massachusetts, Dave,open up another location closer to us.What a hidden gem,food & service were fantastic,prices were great,but the food,FABULOUS. We also took a take & bake home,for a nominal fee,Steak Sheppard ‘s pie,another tasty meal.Can’t wait to go back,make sure you don’t pass by this place.

I would come back to Maine Beer Cafe in a heartbeat. The location is a lot of fun with outdoor seating, jumbo jenga, and corn hole. If you are visiting with friends and aren’t a beer drinker they also cater to others with Margarita and Bourbon flights. Not to mention, the food is fantastic for a beer cafe. I ordered the bacon gouda dog which was covered in crisp bacon and mouth watering cheese. I give it a huge thumbs-up for the snap-casing hot dog, rare to find in New England.

The bartender was nice, but their lobster roll was one of the worst I’ve ever had. The lobster meat did not taste fresh. It was not served warm like requested. And it had slimy lettuce on it. To top it off, the potato chips tasted rancid so I only ate one.

The bartender was our server. She was very friendly. The menu is basic. Burgers/pretzel apps. Dips and such.

The meatloaf sandwich is insanely good. My new favorite. Dave also has the cheapest (and best!) lobster roll in the area. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, and Wednesday features the famous buck a shuck ($1 oysters!). Dave‘s rocks.
