TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Had a chance to visit and try the chicken. I ordered the 2 slider meal with fries, the sliders were a nice size and plenty of fries to go around. I loved the chicken and fries seasoning and was not hot at all for order the hot level of chicken. The down fall for me was the side of Mac and cheese, super runny like a soup ♂️. 8.1

Wow! I’ve worked in customer service and I am sooo impressed at how sweet and helpful this staff is! Lupe the manager is so caring and is such a nice woman. She made me feel so welcome on my first time here. Osbaldo was also so kind. The store was very clean and had a warm welcome feeling. Can’t wait to come back!

I probably wasn’t the ideal potential customer, as I generally don’t care for spicy fare. Accordingly, I ordered a No Spice chicken slider, what appeared to be a breaded half breast. The meat was tender and moist, and there was virtually no wait. The fries were good, as was the shake. I was impressed with how clean the store was. In all, an enjoyable experience. I probably will return if in the area.

Kind of pricey for no drink. The staff was very friendly and pleasant. It took over 15 minutes to finally get my order and the fries were cold…
The slider was an odd shape, it was basically their chicken finger on a bun. I got the extra hot and it had some mild heat. The chicken was juicy and tasty. So the chicken slider overall was good and recommended. I’m not sure if I’d go again but it was not bad

First time eating at Dave’s. It was pretty dang good! I wasn’t expecting much because every chicken place is “amazing” according to advertising. This actually was amazing! It was very crispy, had a very nice crust (?) not even sure if that is what to call it. Fries were great, had a super delicious seasoning. We took it back to our hotel to eat, but the store was pretty cool too. I would suggest, recommend, and choose this over any other chicken chain if I was given the choice. Except maybe Chic-fil-a, that would be a toss up. Food pics were after everyone dug in, I was slow!

Ordered the #2 at Hot spicy level. Sliders are big for being considered sliders. Chicken was fried just right and the hot spicy was perfect for what look for in hot.
Service was the best. Everyone had an approachable attitude when walking up to the counter. Answered all our questions, clear communication. My main reason alone for coming back.
Atmosphere was typical for this type of food joint. Tables were clean, and most importantly…the restroom were clean for the most part except a tiny issue out of their control.
