TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was as always. The chicken was juicy, packed with flavor, and the spice level was perfect. The vibes were great, and the service made it even better. Jennifer, was super friendly and made sure everything was running smoothly. She really made the place feel welcoming. Definitely coming back for more — can’t go wrong with this spot!

I had an amazing experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The food was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor — hands down some of the best chicken I’ve had. What really made my visit stand out was the customer service. Manager Jose went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. He was super friendly, professional, and genuinely cared that we had a great experience. You can tell he takes pride in his work and his team. I’ll definitely be coming back soon and recommending this location to everyone I know!

I’ll start off with they had really friendly service and they are a good late night option. Chicken was really good, seasoned well and not dry. Fries were good. The bread though is severely lacking something. The bread reminds me of cheap store bought white bread. It comes plain and un toasted. It comes off as an after thought. The sauce is meh, tastes like mayo and ketchup with no seasoning. Like canes but nowhere near as good. Employee told me the ranch is prepackaged and not made in store so I skipped that. The shake I got was good and offering fruity pebbles as a topping is unique. So some pros about this place but also some cons.

First time trying Dave’s hot chicken and it was super yummy. Greg took our order and he was super helpful , polite and greeted us with a smile which is hard to find these days. The rest of the staff were also super sweet and attentive (the young girl with a bun ). Place was clean and presentable. Thank you !

I came in to Dave’s hot chicken at the esplanade location and the food came out fantastic and Javier the cashier was on top of his game that day. The service he provided was something you’d expect from a Michellen star rated restaurant. Shout out to my brother(not really) Javier at Dave’s hot chicken!
