TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

First, turn the music down – it was way way loud that the cashier could not hear my order, and I could barely enjoy sitting at the table. As for the food, I can safely say I got my year’s worth of salt and sodium. The chicken was cooked perfect, yet the seasoning and saltiness was far too saturating to truly enjoy the food. If I try for a second trial, I may consider asking for seasoning in a cup on the side.

Was pretty upset I’m actually a huge Dave’s chicken fan & a spice freak. Like the other recent review said the Reaper is not Hot here. At all.. I’ve been to over 5+ ones around Cali n they are extremely SPICY. This Daves is the most Bland tasting chicken i ever tried & the Mac n cheese was like hard butter, not creamy. Not sure why, when the ones where i live nearby will have you tearing up n sweating with flavor but this one tastes extremely bland.

The chicken is really good the amount if spice is phenomenal! My only issue was the last time I was their they took a long time to take my order! I was standing for more than 5 minutes and nobody took my order it was very dissapointing! The atmosphere I gave it a 1 star because the music is to loud!

I ordered their top loaded fries. Lady was nice but the order took forever I waited nearly 20 minutes. The chicken was a let down. Greasy, flavorless other than a slight heat, reminded me of raising canes chicken but with heat. In the words of Vissipop and Hasbin Hotels pilot “Wow… That was shit!” The pickle sclices were top notch though and the interior of the store is quite beautiful.

It was my first time coming in and I ordered the New Dave’s Bites with 10 bites made fresh(Medium Hot). Only 3 options for spice on the Bites but simple is better and perfect for $9.99 with a side of fries. I hope to try the chicken sandwich next time. The chicken was surprisingly tender and juicy so if you like chicken it’s a must try. This location has a comfortable outdoor patio with umbrellas and an out of this world graffiti scene with interdimensional chicken man on a UFO theme.

My girls love this place. Retro and colorful. Clean and well maintained. The menu is super small and easy to order from. Quick service, the staff is attentive and super outgoing . The chicken can be mild to super hot, and the eating ambiance with all the art is very cool. A must visit for chicken

I genuinely love Dave’s. Every location I’ve visited has been impressively clean and thoughtfully designed with a youthful, vibrant atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. The staff are always incredibly friendly, creating a positive and inviting experience from the moment you walk in. On top of that, the food is absolutely amazing — fresh, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. Another huge plus is how affordable everything is, making it easy to enjoy without breaking the bank. But what truly sets Dave’s apart for me is that all of their food is halal. Knowing that I can enjoy such delicious meals while adhering to my dietary needs makes the experience even more special. It’s rare to find a place that checks all the boxes like Dave’s does.
