TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Abel at the counter brings the customer service and the crew in the kitchen brings the flavor and the heat! I’ve had Dave’s before in other states but it has never been this tasty, quick and perfect! The restaurant was sparkling clean and we got our order super fast we barely waited! We got a slider and top loaded fries and damn they were good!

Fry we’re really good. Fresh with a nice crispy texture.
There sauce was good added a great flavor to everything.

Tried the hot sliders and fries — and they definitely delivered on flavor! The chicken had a great kick, and the sauce was seriously addictive. Fries were crispy and tasty, but I’d recommend asking for extra crispy for that perfect crunch. Overall, a solid spot for spicy chicken lovers!

Yeah, this place is great. The food ain’t no joke, when I get hot chicken… the word hot actually means something. So tasty also great customer service too. I walked in & was greated, the cashier asked me how my day was. Grin on face, also hooked it up after I was unsatisfied. He took care of me, instantly fixed my 1 concern. Thanks Jared, they got to give ya a windbreaker for being an excellent employee.

Absolutely love this place! The chicken is crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. Heat levels are no joke—go “medium” if you’re unsure. Fries are solid, and the Dave’s Sauce ties it all together. Quick service, cool vibe. Definitely coming back!

We went on opening day 3/10/2023. It’s a new location, new crew, I’d say they did a great job! The line was to the end of the building and took about 10 minutes to get to order which I didn’t think was bad. Then about a 10 minute wait for our order to be ready. All staff was very friendly, atmosphere bright and colorful. We anticipated there being a lot of people so we opted to order To Go but do definitely see us eating there in the future.
Chicken was moist, easy to pull apart, with just enough breading. The cook on the outside of the chicken is NOT burnt, it’s the shade of the seasoning. Super flavorful, not just heat. You choose your heat level, or none at all per item. Tenders are a good size and thick. Not scrawny like some other places. I like heat but not overly spicy, so mild to medium is perfect for me. My husband likes things a little spicier so he got medium & hot, he said hot was good for him.
Fries were crispy outside, soft inside, and seasoned well.
Came with delicious pickles, a dipping sauce which I would say is a sweetened mayo ketchup with a light seasoning (but I could be wrong).
Slider comes on a bun with pickles, slaw, and sauce. Tender(s) come with slightly toasted sandwich bread.
Mac & Cheese was ordered as a separate side. Creamy, not watery and pretty tasty.
This will definitely be our new go to!
