TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My son loves Dave’s Hot Chicken, so for Valentine’s Day I took him to this location for lunch. The restaurant itself was clean. Just a heads up, this location does not have a drive thru like the Ontario location.
As always, the food was great and consistent, which we definitely appreciate. However, the service unfortunately did not match the quality of the food. Customer service is very important to me, and this experience fell short.
When we walked in, a young employee (highlighted hair) saw us but didn’t greet us or acknowledge that she would be with us shortly. She continued packing DoorDash orders and walked past the counter multiple times without saying a word, while we stood there waiting. A simple “I’ll be right with you” would have gone a long way.
Not wanting to ruin my son’s Valentine’s lunch, I brushed it off and had him order at the kiosk instead. We ended up taking our food to go because the lack of friendliness made the atmosphere uncomfortable and it wasn’t just toward us, but toward other customers as well.
It’s disappointing because the food is always good, but due to this experience, I don’t plan on returning to this particular location. I truly hope they can improve the customer service to match the quality of their food.

I was impressed! The decor was chill and the staff I encountered were really friendly and accommodating, super nice. I got the tender sliders with hot (like that they offer varying degrees of spice) and the chicken tenders are very generous, and well-fried; they nail that crispy and juicy ratio. Sauces were okay – wasn’t all that taken with the sauces, they were just kinda okay, but everything else was top notch. Will be back for sure!

had such a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! The chicken was perfectly crispy and juicy, packed with flavor. On top of that, the store was extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and made sure our order was perfect. Great food and great service! Tania, Axel, and Julio made my experience amazing!!

Im so disappointed in the service I received. I placed an order online, when I got home and opened up the boxes, for the box of 1 slider 1 tender, I received the slider with the buns on the bottom and the chicken that was supposed to be part of the sandwich just thrown in the box. I ordered fries and they didn’t even fill the box half way. I selected a cutlery set with every box and I didn’t receive a single set or any of the honey packets I asked for. The food itself tasted as it should but the service was greatly disappointing.

Great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken. The food was solid, heat level was on point, and everything came out fresh. What really stood out though was the service. Leilani was really cool, super friendly, and made the whole visit feel easy and welcoming. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.

This is my favorite place to eat at!!! They have the best customer service and the food is delicious. I honestly love my sliders there and the tenders are soo juicy and flavorful. Every time I go eat there I feel welcomed and appreciated. It definitely became my #1 place to eat. I LOVE DAVES honestly recommend this place 1000/10.
