TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE !!!!! The atmosphere is so cool and very colorful. The chicken is so damn good. It was fresh hot. They got my order correct . There’s plenty of parking outside. This place on the food scales are 10 out of 10 you have to try them. The bathrooms are clean. The place is clean.

Dave’s hot chicken is so good! The hot chicken tendie slider was a hit. The service was great, and the workers had pretty damn good attitudes considering how absolutely slammed they were. 10/10 x2. Portion sizes are bigger than you’d expect too, I couldn’t even eat all my number 3 and I’m on the bigger side for sure.

This is my fourth visit to Dave’s Hot Chicken chain, and my first time at this specific location. As usual, the fried chicken was cooked perfectly, and the taste with honey was incredible—something you can’t experience anywhere else in the world. The service was great and quick.
However, I encountered a strange situation where the restrooms were closed, and when I asked to use them, the staff apologized, saying someone else was inside and might have been sleeping there for a long time! This unexpected experience left a somewhat negative impression.

If the cashier who took my order had served my Shake (since there wasn’t anyone else behind me waiting to order) I would not have had time to finish my food and then have to come back to the counter to get an update on the status of it. Anyway the food is good but not to be way exited about. I’m not sure what has changed but it isn’t the Dave’s I have gotten elsewhere, I know sometimes it varies by location which kind of sucks. Either way, if it’s a crave and it’s on the way I’ll grab it again.

Visiting friend down the street. First time here. Esmeralda hooked it up. Explained everything to me although its a straight forward menu. I can’t do spicy anymore so she recommended the “no spice”. I had the number 3, sando and a tender. Fries crispy presentation CLEAN, taste was best chicken sando ever. Place is chill, super clean, and has a/c.
