TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The food is great, there’s no debating it. I ordered a hot Dave number 1 and the spice was really enjoyable. The place is a typical fast food restaurant, the fountain drinks are the usual.
The reason they are not getting a 5 star review is the long time I waited for my order (the combo and an additional tender), waited around 35 minutes in a not so busy place.

Wait time was about 15 minutes, which is totally fine — just don’t show up expecting fast food speed. It’s more like, “we’re making it hot and fresh, so chill a bit” kind of speed.
Overall, good food, decent vibe, just bring your appetite and your debit card

Thank you, Kayla M for an amazing first time at the restaurant. We didn’t know what we wanted and she recommended multiple options for me and my husband who have different spice levels and different food taste. I got mine the way that she said was her favorite way and it was so yummy. Kim was so sweet, giving us our food and and making sure everything was amazing as well as we had everything we need including utensils. and thank you to Jofer Who made our food and was so kind and also checking through the window by the counter where we get our food, making sure everything was good to go as well. It was such a great experience. Y’all are an amazing team. God bless you all. He is working in all of you..

We went on a busy Saturday night. There were a few issues with our order, and we ended up driving back to the location. The team member who helped us was very kind, and went above and beyond to make our experience better. Turned a not so great experience into one of the best customer experiences we’ve had. Our company won a raffle for food from here. The representative that came in was very kind and quick with the delivery. It was our first experience with Dave’s Hot Chicken. The chicken is breaded nicely and holds the flavor well, and the fries are deliciously seasoned. Our team enjoyed the food!
