TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Ive been to daves hot chicken twice now. Open late, chicken strips, that’s right up my alley. 1st time got 2 mild strips with the kaleslaw… kaleslaw is a great take on coleslaw, tasted great. The mild strips were really heavily seasoned to an over powdered degree. Toast and pickles is a great add on, pickles are great pallet cleanser, toast is just stale bread both times. The daves sauce that comes with it is really good! Got a side ranch (didn’t realize it was $1.50 until I got my reciete) but didn’t use it. 2nd time got an unseasoned and a medium, I think Im just not a fan of the seasoning mouthfeel wise. Cakes the mouth. But unseasoned was good. Ill go again sometime but won’t be a regular.

It says our server was Sage S. He is definitely a seasoned in employee, but he was training someone so if this stage is a new person, then it is not the person that waited on us.
Our server Sage was amazing. This was our first time into a Dave’s hot chicken. He explained the entire menu! He followed through all the way to bringing it to us and then coming back making sure we were doing OK and the degree of hotness we picked out. You have a very valuable employee there at the Meridian chicken joint. He’s the perfect person to mold your new employees thanks again. The food was great. Next time I have to stay with the one he recommended which is light mild because the mile was a little warm for me. The prices are pretty good. I wish the soft drink was included in the packages but oh well good stuff bring one to Twin Falls.

I tried Dave’s hot chicken so you don’t have to. 3/10. Nothing special. The chicken itself is decent. Meal doesn’t even come with a drink. What a rip off. Sauce is better than C**es though.

Great food for the value!! These were fabulous chicken sandwiches, and my kids shared the no spice chicken bites and they were delicious! The pickles, the kale slaw, the slushy and the fries and the fry sauce were all top-notch! Definitely recommend! The cashier Sage was super knowledgeable and friendly! Oh, and my kids loved the mac & cheese side! Fabulous ambience, plenty of space. Fun decor, entertaining for my kids!

Food was pretty good but a little bit spicy. The cashier was chill was tragically stuttered and an odd man in a green shirt was flirting with my son when I stopped him in his tracks. I wish that the people would have kicked him out but to be fair, it is my fault for not telling them. I attached a picture of him that somebody can hopefully identify. What a tragic experience!

The reaper is HOT!!!!!! It’s so good. Excellent flavor. The heat is immediate and intense. I was sweating, and my nose was running! It lasts for approximately 30 minutes after you eat. If you enjoy hot/spicy food, try this! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED! The chicken itself is very good. The kale slaw is amazing. My only complaint is that they’re a little pricy for what it is. But considering inflation, whose prices haven’t gone up?
