TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I had quite the experience today! For the first time I had a small mistake made with tiny order and I got the wrong spice level on my food it was too spicy so asked for help and the manager Jeremy came through and replaced my whole order without asking questions! He was super cordial and professional! I couldn’t expect less from this place I love Dave’s Hot Chicken!! This is the best fried chicken place period!! Thank you Jeremy you’re the best!!

Had a great experience at this new location. It was still very busy but went surprising well. Had a hiccup with the service but the manager was awesome and worked it out. Food was great and definitely will come back for more. Be aware that the heat levels were also really accurate.

First time to Dave’s. Small menu options but that is expected. We ordered to go since there is limited seating and they just opened. It was crowded.
Friendly greeting and prompt with our order. The wait time was a tad longer than it should have been. However, new opening and crowded. Let’s just say they are still getting the process and flow going which is understandable. Some customers forget that.
Overall, great experience. Good spot and option to grab a quick bite.

First off the flavor is mid at best. All the hype for something mid. Lackluster heat, and not seasoned well at all. Crisp and fresh is the only redeeming quality. Secondly WAY WAY WAY over priced. I do not recommend this place at all. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

I have been wanting to try Dave’s for quite some time and let me tell you. It did not disappoint! The staff were very friendly and were excited to hear that I was a first timer. The food was fantastic. The chicken had great flavor and texture. The fries were cooked almost perfectly and had the right amount of seasoning. I will definitely be going back.

I was super excited to try this place for the first time. I waited patiently in the drive thru for about 15 minutes. The lady was super helpful and insightful about the menu. I got my food and it was time to chow down. Only problem was they only gave me half my food. I ordered the Dave’s #3 which comes with a tender and a slider. I only got the slider and fries. Very disappointed. The slide and fries were very good.

Whoever designed the interior did an excellent job—I love the wall art. The staff was super friendly, and everyone seemed well-prepared and ready to help.
They don’t have the app or kiosks up and running yet, but as a customer, it really helps to know what you want before getting to the register to keep things moving smoothly.
The chicken was extremely crunchy and juicy. I ordered the tender and slider meal with no heat, and my husband ordered the two-tender meal with medium heat. Y’all… these tenders are HUGE. The meals were very filling—we couldn’t even finish the fries (and honestly, you don’t even need them).
Now that I know better, I’ll definitely ask for an extra cup of Dave’s sauce next time because it was delicious for dipping. My husband said he’d go up one heat level and also add extra sauce.
Overall, great first experience—definitely go show them some love!

Very good spicy tenders. I got level “hot” and they aren’t very hot, but hot enough. This place is apparently very popular, as you can tell by a line of cars waiting in the drive through and the lobby was full of people. I think this location just opened so there may also be a lot of excitement with its new opening. After ordering, the wait was at least 20 minutes for the food. I wanted to order in advance to avoid the wait, but their website/app doesn’t have this location yet. Again, the tenders are great and the staff is very polite, helpful and friendly. Veterans discount too. Recommended.
