TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Food was good, probably more than I expected. Chicken was crispy and the bun was on point. Thought I was in a 3-star mecheline restaurant when it comes to the service by “James”. He was such an amazing person, kept asking if we needed anything more we needed and checking up, and was so grateful for his service. 10 out of 10.

I stopped by Dave’s Hot Chicken and honestly, the food lived up to the hype. The chicken was juicy, perfectly crispy, and had the right amount of spice without being overpowering. I tried the “Hot” level and it had a good kick, but I’ll definitely be going spicier next time.
As for the customer service—Dough was super friendly and fast! I felt very welcoming, explained the menu when I had questions, and made sure everything was fresh. My food came out hot and quick, and the whole vibe of the place felt clean and upbeat.
Definitely recommend it if you’re craving quality spicy chicken and good service. I’ll be back!

My wife and I ate at Dave’s Hot Chicken in Hurst, Texas for the first and last time on Friday, Feb 20th. We both ordered the medium spicy two-piece tenders that cost $26, and neither of us could finish the first chicken tender because it had TOO MUCH seasoning on the outside. We both really like spicy food, but this food is not too spicy, it just taste bad because so much wet seasoning is caked on the outside attempting to taste good!

The best things I got from Dave’s was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk shake and the pickles….i was super disappointed when I picked up the chicken and nothing about it was crispy, and I tried it in the parking lot. The sauce tasted like a sweet ketchup and mayo, fries were pretty good. The seasoning… hated it, smelt like a bbq? Workers were super friendly and it looks good in pictures but for $20 for this? I will not be coming back.

Went here last night at my daughter’s request after she saw it on TikTok. This was our first time visiting, so I asked a few questions about the menu. Brittany, the GM, took our order and was extremely pushy and rude from the start.
When our food came out, one of the meals was missing. It took quite a while to receive the rest of our order. Once it finally arrived, there was no dipping sauce included for the bites. I politely asked if the item normally comes with sauce, and Brittany responded very rudely, stating that extra sauce costs a fee. I explained that we never received any sauce at all, at which point she became argumentative and continued to go back and forth with me in an unprofessional manner.
Between the poor customer service and the food itself which was honestly gross this was a terrible experience overall. I will never eat here again. A general manager should never treat paying customers this way, and she should absolutely not be the face of any company.
