TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

The chicken is insanely juicy with the perfect crispy crunch, and the spice levels are legit (in the best way ). The sliders, fries, and sauce are all on point, and the portions are generous. Fast service, great vibes and definitely one of my go to spots!

Although I understand mistakes happen customer service should be seamless when visiting any establishment. Customer service is a big part of the face of any company. Today was my first and last time EVERY visiting Dave’s Hot Chicken. I am not from Texas and where I am from there is no Dave’s Chicken when I learned of this business here I decided today since I was in Mesquite are to visit for lunch. I came through drive through and was asked was this my first time I placed my order which was the number 1 mild, my total came up to $11.98. I normally use my card to purchase but because I had cash on me I decided to use cash and I handed the cashier 20.03 after handing her the money she left the window open, so I was able to see her and as I was watching her she was looking confused as to what to do with the .03 cent. After a minute or so she hands me back $7.03. I looked and said I gave you $20.03 so that you could give me $7.05 she proceeded to argue with me and say, “no it’s on the receipt”, I said ” I gave you $20.03 so that I could get a nickel and she just stood there now looking at me light a deer in headlights. I then said you still did not give me my correct change you gave me $7.03 and based off what you entered in the cash register you put I gave you $20.02. Long story longer It would be most important have people working with great attitudes and then not only that someone who can do basic math. After I said to her “you know, never mind don’t worry about it” she looks at the girl that was standing next to her and they both just started laughing as to if this was a joke or something!!! So, after that disaster I get all the way back to the office only to open a container of OLD MESS!! Not only was the chicken not fresh but it looked as if someone took chunks out of the chicken. At first, I said maybe it fell off, but no this is extremely unacceptable!!! I am beyond frustrated due to me wasting my gas, money and time to come patronize an establishment that plays around not only with customers money, but their food and the staff is SOOOOOO unprofessional. I will never eat at Daves Hot Chicken again this was the WORST first experience ever!!!!

The whole experience was really good! We came on the free slider day. The whole staff was friendly and accommodating, even though the line started outside it moved very fast. We also got our food very fast and it was fresh and hot and correct. The food was piping hot and delicious. The fries were hot crisp and fluffy on the inside. Great experience! Keep up the good work

I love Dave’s Hot Chicken. I really do. But this has happened quite a few times and I’m really done with the carelessness they seemingly have when packing orders. And it’s not every time, but it’s unfortunately frequent enough to where I have to post this review. The Daves Sauce Dipper is promoted online and on UberEats. I ordered one with my order. I did not receive it, and I called just now to see if I was wrong and that they did not carry the sauce in that way. They had no idea what I was talking about. I wouldn’t have been too irritated if I had just received extra sauce packets instead because it’s really not that big of a deal, but I received none. I do not think it takes that much more to think “we don’t carry this, but since they want this (Dave’s sauce dipper), this is the next best option (a few extra packets of Dave’s sauce)”. It is SO disappointing and irritating to not receive what you wanted (literally at all in this case).

It was burnt and not fresh and fries are cold and soggy.. . I’m so disappointed me and my sister come all the time never had a problem until now. We was waiting in drive thru for awhile because we though it was gonna be fresh. But it was not.. I would like a refund or a replacement.

My family and I visited Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time this evening, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
Upon entering, we did not receive a warm welcome. Our cashier, Mariah, provided minimal customer service. As we placed our order, she made no effort to explain the menu or offer any assistance. Additionally, two of our three meals were specifically ordered as non-spicy with no coleslaw; however, both were prepared incorrectly.
My husband immediately brought the issue to the manager’s attention. The manager stated that the kitchen would correct the order. Shortly after, I observed the manager speaking with Mariah regarding the mistake. In response, Mariah stated loudly enough for the lobby to hear that she had repeated the order back to us. Rather than remaining professional at the front counter, she then chose to address my daughter directly about her performance in front of other customers.
I intervened and asked that the situation be handled appropriately. What was most concerning was that this behavior continued in the presence of the manager without further correction. The interaction was unprofessional and inappropriate.
After spending approximately $50 on three meals, we expected a much higher level of service.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, my family and I will not be returning. We hope this feedback is taken seriously so that future customers do not encounter similar issues.

If you have something bad to say about Dave’s Hot Chicken or their Mac-n-Cheese… I dont need to know you. I had 2 HOT TENDERS and 1 EXTRA HOT with a side of Mac-n-Cheese. It was all great! The server who took my order was polite and attentive. The food was served timely and prepared to juicy spicy hot perfection. I have a new chicken place!!!
