TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

My brother and I went in to the Overland Park, KS location on a cold negative temps day- Jorge was lovely and very knowledgeable! He asked us how our day was going and was very accommodating. We both ordered a #3 – Drew spice level was HOT and mine was MEDIUM. With mountain Berry blast and strawberry lemonade slushies! The hot was just enough spice as I just took a bite of the tender. I would definitely try that level next time. The slushies were a nice flavor during eating.
The atmosphere was just the right amount of lively and music selection was chill and easy listening. Would definitely come back again!

My husband brought me Dave’s Hot Chicken while we were in the hospital with our daughter. It was absolutely delicious. The hot one is basically spicy in the front. Extra hot is basically your party in the back of your tongue. He said the reaper wasn’t hot but I don’t trust it. All the food was really good. Definitely will be returning.

Food was really good and staff was friendly. I got the 2 tenders with hot for the spicy level. Chicken was crispy, juicy and had a great spice to it. Fries were good too. They also give you a dipping sauce that is great as well. Really my only complaint is how expensive it is. For 2 tenders and fries, it came to almost $14. Besides the price, I would recommend Dave’s.

Dave’s Hot Chicken was good and gives large portions. Table wasn’t wiped off when we sat down. Food was good but if you like spicy like I do the extra hot tastes like hot. Overall good chicken spot better than Raising Cane’s!

Chicken was very good and juicy. Got the extra hot but did not feel any spice. Good portions for the price as well. However I waited about half an hour for one combo. The staff were nice and the place is very clean.

The chicken had good flavor even on the spicier items, which was nice. There was a good range of spiciness so you could get something that you’d enjoy and be able to tolerate. The “hot” level of spice was about the same as Paqui Chips chile limon flavor, as a comparison.
We were celebrating a special occasion so we ordered more than usual. I had a medium fillet, and a hot sandwitch, with hot top loaded fries.
The employees were helpful, the cashier we worked with was very informative, and happily answered all my questions. He also came out as we were finishing up and asked how our visit was. We’ll definetly go again!

First time in and I had Liam help me out. He recommended the #2 and was by far the best chicken sandwich in the city. Liam was also one the best workers that I have seen in a while super friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anybody that hasn’t had it yet!!!

I have to say, this is one of the best (maybe the best!) fried chicken in KS. I love their simple menu options. The flavor is great — I love it! Their loaded fries and sliders are really great too. The service here is always great, even when it’s really busy. The staff is friendly and makes you feel like you’re getting personal attention. The place is small, but clean, so it’s nice. Just be aware that the tables are a little less comfy than some, but it’s still okay. I definitely need to eat this chicken at least once a week.
