TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I had #4 chicken sandwich with light mild it was just enough spice for me to not bother my heart burn, fries ok, cauliflower bites was good with Dave sauce, the kale salad mix was tangy sour didn’t care for it worked well on the sandwich. Staff was friendly and greeted guest as they arrived and when leaving.

The store was clean. The cashier was amazing, I ordered the cauliflower slider. I feel like I just drink an entire cup of grease. I went through five napkins to try to soak up the grease. The bread was completely soaked. Just not a good experience. They should’ve definitely drained it or let it sit for a second or something just the grease was unbearable.

The food was good and the pretty dark skinned girl was very friendly and helped us understand the menu. I got the fries with the chicken and coleslaw (I forgot what it was called) and it was really good. Seating isn’t the most comfy and my coke was so flat. But I had a good experience mostly.

My son demolished a free slider, happy to end his cravings! I I am a little bit jealous cuz I cook great chicken too, but not as hot as Dave’s I like to actually taste my chicken and not burn my tongue off, too hot for me but my husband and children love it!
