TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

This was my first time going to a Dave’s Hot Chicken in Ohio, and boy I was not disappointed! The chicken was fresh and fried to perfection, juicy enough on the inside and the seasoning was uniformly applied. The fries were also good. You can tell when a fast food place uses stale oil to fry their food, and this was not one of them. In my opinion the fried chicken here, even though it’s tenders, is better than that at KFC, as KFC can be very hit or miss.

It’ll be my forth or fifth time coming to Dave’s ever since the first time I walked in to try them for the first time I’ve never had a bad experience the cashiers are always welcoming understanding with action it was two young ladies one named Jada or Jhada, Jayda I don’t know which way she spells her name lol the new guy Zachary R & another young lady with blonde hair I don’t remember her name but I love seeing them when I come they make the experience so welcoming ‼️‼️ never let them go they care about their job completely and they show it their food looks exactly as advertised as well so that’s a plus

On 12/19/25 was our first time ever eating here. It is a simple menu. We got the medium heat. The chicken and fries were delicious. The medium is a good flavor not too hot. The employees were helpful and friendly. The inside was clean and creative. The atmosphere was pleasant. If in the area again this place is a definite favorite to revisit.

I really like this place but the wife not as much as me. She did like the playing tender but anything with the seasoning she did not like I think because it was felt gritty. It was my first time here and they suggested medium I really wish I would have gotten the hot. The tenders themselves were very large juicy and cooked perfectly and the french fries were very crisp and tasty as well. Next time I come back I’m bringing ranch from Chick-fil-A for the wife for her plane tenders and I’m going to get me some hot.

It was my first time trying I’ve heard really good things so I was very excited the chicken was beautiful the seasoning is wonderful the way it’s cooked it’s got this really nice crisp to it I got the hot it was a perfect amount of hot I loved it you can taste how fresh the chicken is I love that !!!!!! The fries were so good and the manager even came out to ask us how our food was that never happens the fries were fresh and had a perfect crisp not ONE fry was soft ! The Mac was perfect it’s creamy perfect amount of cheese it was wonderful !! The slider is not a slider it’s the size of a chikafila sandwich I think that is freaking amazing!!!! The shake was so good you could taste the milk it was so fresh and they loaded it with Oreos I feel like everywhere always skimps me on my toppings so i really appreciated that lastly the sauce omggggggggggggggg im obsessed !!! I love Dave’s and 10000% will be back !!!

We had a great experience for our first time at Dave’s Hot Chicken! Mahogany was our cashier and was super friendly and helpful. Jesse was the cook who prepared my husband’s reaper chicken and he came out just to meet the person who ordered it. Both of these employees made us smile! The food was fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. We will be back for sure!
Side note: my husband rarely finds food spicy enough. He eats reaper hot sauce on everything! This was the first time in a long time i saw food that he classified as spicy!

I’ve been to Dave’s Hot Chicken a few times now and it’s always been really good. The food is fresh, hot, and seasoned perfectly, and the portions are solid for the price. The chicken is cooked really well every time. There’s no drive-thru, but ordering through the app makes it super easy to just walk in and grab your food. My only small wish is that the combo meal came with a drink, but honestly that’s not a deal breaker. Definitely worth checking out!

Jess does great with customers and i’ve seen time and time again her remembering names of customers who come in frequently and greeting customers with a smile and happy demeanor. I have nothing but great things to say about this place.
A great comfy dine in area is also a perk here. Orders come out fresh and within 5-8 minutes of each other even during their busy hours.
Thank you to Jess for being so warm and inviting to her customers. You never know what someone is going thru and treating them with kindness and proper problem solving in this kind of environment is a must and she does just that. Give that girl a raise.
