TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Looking for a late night spot to grab some food. I stumbled up on this magical place of spices and fire!
The place was busy but not unmanageable, no long lines and quick service. They took my order and I waited about 3 mins or so before my body was taken to an interdimensional level of fire and brimstone
The chicken was juicy and flavored to perfection. I got the number #2 with two chicken sliders and fries. I asked for some sauces and to my surprise the lady behind the counted basically backed up a uhaul truck of sauces and placed them in my hands. We’re talking hundreds of sauce packets from Dave’s sauce, crystals hot sauce, honey and good old ketchup. I don’t remember her name but a special shout out to her for being on top of her game and killing me with kindness.
Good people behind the counter, good food and a super chill place to hang and get a bite to eat. They even have a nice little a outside area if you don’t want to be inside.
Definitely hit up Dave’s Hot Chicken if you’re in the area. Great stuff!

Nice wall art, fits the vibes. Food took about 13 minutes after order. Had a HOT tender and MED heat slider. I have a pretty good spice tolerance, but the HOT tender was as spicy as your average cayenne pepper sauce , spicy with a kick ,but not more than that. Got thru it with no water. So the medium tasted like regular slightly spicy seasoned chicken to me. Crinkle cut Fries are seasoned but,nothing outstanding more than that. Coleslaw went well with the tender on the sandwich, could use a little more of it tho. Tenders are large, one could easily be satisfied with one slider, and could be given to a child for a meal,
And crispy, and seasoned batter that was not a thick layer. Pickles were crispy and cool and not salty at all, delicious.the Dave’s sauce was tangy , and not to my taste. Staff was accommodating and allowed for a free cup of water. My company found the bites she had ordered to be to salty and they remade her order with no hassle.

Lunch date. We always wanted to try them! We finally got a moment to bc all our friends was gassing it up and it definitely reached out expectations. The LG milk shakes are HUDGE. husband and I couldn’t even finish it haha an we have a big sweet tooth but it’s was go good! I’m not big on spice so I got mild light and it was perfect I prob could go to mild. Hubby got hot and he said it was perfect he wants to try a hotter flavor. Everything came out amazing and fresh. It was so cold in the restaurant thought but we like the cold just wish I brought a hoodie! Nice place to eat and cook off that for sure❣️ definitely will be coming again soon! Thank you to the staff that was patient with us as first timers

Food here is always great but I cannot stand a worker who thinks they’re too good to talk to you. I stood in line at the pickup counter waiting for Dante to have a minute to check with me because he was clearly busy. I continued to wait and even as he slowed down he didn’t acknowledge me. More people piled up and someone asked him for something and he told them they should have spoken up sooner? Felt like a weird attempt at a power play. Very obnoxious, he also made a rude comment to someone else who picked up their order after they confirmed their order number and he told them he “only called the order number 5 times”. Very odd and annoying experience

We stopped by DHC before a concert at USF. That was a good choice. My son’s friend from out of torn recommended the place, and we were excited when there was one in Tampa. The no spice was perfect for the ladies of the family. They don’t like heat at all, and the no spice option was flavorful. My daughter wished they were slightly more juicy, but did enjoy the Dave’s sauce. My son had the medium heat and enjoyed the flavor without an excessive burn. I had the hot and it was just right for me. We all liked the slaw and pickles in the sliders and thought the crunch and flavors added to the sandwich. I LOVED the crunchy, crinkle cut fries – I don’t like soggy fries. The macaroni and cheese was tender and creamy. The vanilla shake with Oreo on top was also extra creamy, yummy. I felt like $80 for fast food was a little steep, but we did have a very good time. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we needed help. I would recommend a visit.

Miles served us well and Richie helped too. The Hot Tenders are not just hot but really flavorful too. I will come again and try out the extra hot tenders this time. Best chicken sandwich in town!!!

I’ve never been there before. I was shocked at the prices. But the food is plentiful and hot. It tastes great with something on it, but plain… without anything on it, it is kind of bland. Though the pieces are quite large and crispy. Milkshakes were great as well. It’s worth the money.
