TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Really good spicy chicken. You can choose your heat level for wonderfully seasoned chicken tenders. Heat levels are accurate and well done. Frying is spot on with the chicken as well as the fries. Dave’s sauce is a perfect compliment for the chicken and fries.

We got 2 sliders and fries with extra Dave’s sauce, and it was delicious! We got one no spice and one lite mild. I’ve also tried mild from here too and it wasn’t spicy, and the seasoning was amazing. The daves sauce is so good, I recommend getting extra sauce on the side!

I took my husband here for his birthday to get takeout, I was eyeing this place for a long time and the YouTube videos convinced me to try it! I want to start off with the ambience, it’s very fun and energetic very unique decor and style, not something you see in many places, so even though it’s a fast food restaurant you get the street food vibe.
We got hot and extra hot sliders, I thought the sliders would be small that’s why I got the 2 sliders 2 tenders but each slider is basically the size of my hand! And the tenders are not only big cuts but they’re thick, juicy, not dry at all! Very well seasoned to perfection! There’s no bad aftertaste it’s just perfect! Hands down one of the best fried chicken in America! (Fast Food Level) The fries are just very well seasoned and not soggy at all, It compliments the meal so nicely. If you’re thinking about trying this don’t hesitate, totally recommend. I give it a 10 out of 10! Servers are also very nice and kind.

Very hyped fast food place on social media so I had to give it a try. I liked it better than raising cane’s just because of the seasoning. I got the combo with a tender and the sandwich and another one with just tenders and everything was delicious. The sauce is basically a ketchup mayo situation so don’t have some big expectations, other than that it is worth the try.

Hot hot chicken!
The crinkle fries complemented very well the meal. Inside dining was ok, not a lot of tables, is very noisy and AC was either not working or not cold enough. Go for the mild flavor, hot is too hot!

Dave! What happened?! My first time trying it and it was not good. Fries tasted oily, chicken looked dry. Pickles were good though. The mild flavor was good but small and dry. I probably have to come back when it first opens.

Dave’s always hits, very consistantly. Medium spice level was very tasty. I really like how the pickles are made in salt instead of vinegar. I wish the bread came toasted though. Also, why not have a dine in option? Seems kind of weird to waste a bag and Styrofoam when we said we would eat there.

All i’m gonna say is that i understand the hype about Dave’s Hot Chicken!!!
Portions were huge and fulfilling and the wait wasn’t long at all. We were able to find a table of 4 pretty quickly.
We pretty ordered the chicken slider w/ tender, mac & cheese, kale slaw and fries. The mac & cheese was amazing and had a good amount of cheese. The Kale slaw had to be my favorite as it was refreshing and toned the heat down from the chicken!
Dave’s sauce is everything and I wish I could bring a huge tub back to Alaska!! Writing this review & looking back at photos makes me excited to have Dave’s Hot Chicken again

The food was delicious! I had the regular orders of top loaded fries. Dave was also working the front counter and took his time being patient with us while we ordered. We’re not from around the area and it was our first time eating there. We definitely appreciated his patience. First impressions and kindness definitely go a long way. We will return!

I have been wanting to try this place for a while and IT WAS AMAZING!!!! Humongous tenders!!! Sliders were regular size and not small!! The medium was great and Dave’s sauce is a great addition! I will definitely be back!!! Price was right too and the location is very clean!!!
