TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A.
In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

We had an awesome experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken thanks to Ray! He took our order and was super friendly and polite from the start. Our food came out hot and fresh, and he even checked up on us while we were dining in to make sure everything was good.
What really stood out was how hard he was working — cleaning tables while also checking in on other customers and making sure everyone was taken care of. You can tell he truly cares about providing great service.
Because of Ray’s exceptional customer service, we will definitely be coming back to this location. Highly recommend!

Visited the place with some colleagues, place has a good vibe definitely better chicken. I would say best so far I had in fried chicken, superb flavors little hot for my liking but served with bun and slice of bread helps you balance it. Tried #3 with hot sauce on the menu with some extra Dave sauce on the side. Had to use some honey at the end but it was worth it, will visit soon.

Explore Maryland – Daves’s Hot Chicken
Like so many American dreams, ours had a humble beginning.
Three childhood friends in their 20’s who scraped together $900. Our not-so-grand opening was in 2017, in a parking lot in East Hollywood, with a couple of folding tables and a portable fryer under the night sky.
But thanks to Instagram, people came. And tasted. And came back with their friends. Then, the buzz brought a reporter from EATER/LA. He took a bite of his first Dave’s Hot Chicken tender, and our world changed. The next day he posted, “East Hollywood’s New Late Night Hot Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind.”

This is my first visit to this new location. Located in the Hunt Valley area. The shop was very clean and my food was served quick always delicious at Dave’s hot chicken. I include a few pictures during my visit. The cashier was very friendly and welcomed to me when I entered the building once again. I included pictures. Check them out if you want. I ordered the single slider and fries with extra Dave’s sauce on the side, delicious.

We had never been before to a Dave’s but when we saw a fallout meal we were sold for a 49 minute drive. He helped my 6yo son with a small drink cup to help his headache… Service immediately amazing. Food was so tasty, chicken juicy and tender. Highly recommend.

I was looking for the restaurant, not the party house. Food was great! Moist chicken spiced to flavor not hurt. Although they offer to challenge you on the spice chart. Fries were excellent. Milk shakes available.

As a huge fan of Dave’s Hot Chicken, this location hits the mark. Glad that there is now one in Hunt Valley. The service was out of this world. The chicken is the absolute best! The ranch is an added bonus, . The atmosphere is fun, upbeat, and lively in addition to being clean and spotless.

This was my first and only time trying Dave’s. The customer service was A1. The food on the other end was horrible. Granted it was made fresh but it absolutely had no seasoning the flavor came from the dry rub on the chicken. My flavor choice was MEDIUM. I tried using the Dave’s sauce which is a mayo base but with a sweet taste and also tried it with honey but to my surprise neither of these help the taste or flavor of the chicken. I would definitely go to Chick fil A or Raising Cane before coming here again.

So far Dave’s Hot Chicken is my number one go to spot for that spicy chicken sandwich. I’ve been to about 3 and their location and they are very consistent. I get the same great tasting sandwich every time. I tried the mac & cheese and thought it was a downgrade from box craft mac & cheese, but we didn’t come here for the mac & cheese, we came for the chicken sandwich . The sandwiches are always coated well with seasoning regardless of your spice level. I love how they batter and fry their chicken. The staff at this location is always friendly and very fast at getting your order in and out to you. Parking is very tight at this location because you are limited to strip mall parking. They have a larger parking lot, but it requires you to walk a distance to the store. Will definitely be returning and would recommend. Definitely give this place a try for one of the best spicy chicken sandwiches in the area (in my opinion) and if you get the fries, try it with the cheese sauce, it’s amazing!Follow more reviews @IG: Robthefoodguy @eat_n_critique
