TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

Fresh & tasty. Ordered medium heat which was not spicy at all. Fries were good enough. Asked for hot sauce and got off brand packets that weren’t too hot or tasty. Waited about 15 minutes for our order and there were about 6 other people there. Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake was very good. Would go back again and try heat level Hot

Their chicken tenders are really good. The prices are a bit higher for fast food but the quality and uniqueness are very good. The coatings on the tenders are good and crunchy. The meat is very juicy but not overly tender. It still has some chew to it. The Dave’s sauce is good but seemingly no different from any other place’s secret sauce, which is just thousand island dressing. the fries are always perfectly cooked crinkle cut. Their dry rub spice blend is nice and kinda goes on everything. They use very good quality rolls, I think potato rolls, for their sandwiches. The pickle slices are a nice and needed touch since you can start to feel overly greased out from eating so much fried food.

This was the first time I’ve been to a Dave’s Hot Chicken location since there are none near where I live. I’ve always heard good things and I’m a sucker for spicy food. Since we went on opening day, we waited for 40 minutes but it was well worth it. We got the combo #3 (one tender and slider) and we split the spice (one medium and the other extra spicy). Their sauce is very good, as well as the juciness of the chicken. It was delicious! On top of that, one of the staff members came over and gave us an extra meal after taking our picture. This was one of the best fast food experiences I’ve ever had and love the fact that it’s spicy. I’m so glad that this is so close to home and will definitely be coming back!

i door dashed dave’s hot chicken and i always get it from this place and back at home in trenton, i ordered dave’s from ocean 33 and everything was good until the end where its super rubbery, i wonder if they gave me a bad piece of chicken because i door dashed it, the tender was fine but the slider was not okay, for $20 i shouldn’t be having dollar store chicken.

Didn’t know this was located here, but I’ve always wanted to try it. Ordered a lite mild, and hot w/ cheese. Ordering was easy, time to fulfill roughly 3-4 min after we sat down. The food, so so so good! The seasoning was perfect, the hot was hot, the fries were crispy (they have a light Cajun seasoning or something).
Overall, really good experience. Better than Cane’s for sure, no contest there. Definitely coming back, I gotta try the Mac and cheese
