TO LIVE AND FRY IN L.A. In 2017, four childhood friends came up with a simple concept — take Nashville Hot Chicken and make it better than anyone else in America. With only a couple thousand dollars to their name, they boot-strapped a pop-up concept in a parking lot in East Hollywood serving a simple menu of tenders, sliders, fries, and kale slaw — they created a viral cult following with lines consistently over an hour long.

I was expecting more of a variety. It’s all about chicken tenders and how hot you want them. There’s just tenders, tender sliders and tender sandwich’s. I kind of like chicken on the bone. With that said, the chicken was very tasty and moist. It’s a cool atmosphere and the service was pleasant.

The food was so delicious and not too expensive! And the service is amazing, there were buzzers for your food and the workers are very friendly and accommodating! And the atmosphere was outstanding, there was a DJ too! Me and my friend add the #2 meal fries Dave’s sauce and two hot chicken sliders and a large drink only for 19.65 and it fed two 13 year old boys! Very happy with this.

I want to lead with love and say the food here was amazing. Absolutely delicious. The speed of service though is absolutely horrendous. I waited in line for 5 minutes before somebody even came to the counter. I ordered a #4 to go. In the 23 minutes it took for me to receive my order, I witnessed 2 other customers waiting over 20 minutes for their food and 7 delivery drivers waiting at one time. When they came in the cashier would ask who they were waiting for and immediately say it’s not ready. A group of gentleman who ordered dine-in after me received their order. I didn’t understand because there was 3 of them, 1 of me, and I ordered about 10 minutes before them. When I went to the counter to inquire, my food was suddenly done. This store being so new yet the customer and speed of service being so bad is astonishing.

This shop is newer so it was busy but honestly the service is very slow. They had about 20 employees but no one had any urgency or sense of wanted to work. The chicken is fine it’s about the same quality as other low grade chicken restaurants in the area. They really don’t offer anything special or exciting. The wait was insane once ordered it took 30 minutes to get order. They have seating but seemed it was more for waiting for order than eating in dining room. They also see to attract a very ratchet crowd so if this is not your type of crowd then this is definitely not for you. The fries were good but that was the highlight. The sliders are much bigger than they appear but bigger isn’t always better. The prices are also very high for the quality.
