We used to eat at Dave’s when he was in Albany and finally took the drive to try his new Schenectady location. Dave treats all customers like family, which is welcoming after a hard day. The food did not taste how we remembered but was still very tasty. With 3 fry options we opted for the old goodie – black fries. They are scary but delicious. A must try. We both ordered his famous Juicy Lucy. One with Chefs Touch. The restaurant itself is cozy. Only 2 tables and a nice diner bar. Well worth the drive or the stop in if in the area. An added bonus is near by charging stations. We look forward to visiting again!

Dave’s is the best! Super nice owner. I stopped in tonight for some dinner after a good friend of mine recommended his restaurant to me and has been a fan of Dave for 5+ years the burger was cooked perfectly and I asked for the fries extra crispy and they came out Perfect definitely a five-star place. We just finished our first trip to Dave’s and it did not disappoint! We went with the American burger and the Juicy Lucy, white and black fries to share. The flavors were outstanding and perfectly cooked. The secret sauce was yummy! We had a lovely conversation with the chef and the waitress. We will certainly return!

So last month we did take away. We dined in today. The owner is awesome. The food is the best burger and fries anywhere in the area! If you want to taste a food with flavors , this is the place. We stopped by after the VanGogh exhibit. I figured that I would end up ordering a plate of chicken and rice, seeing as I’m allergic to wheat… but Dave made a fresh gluten free bun for my Juicy Lucy! It was delicious, as well as my black fries and my partner’s bacon cheeseburger. Thanks a bunch for the delicious food, excellent service and AWESOME conversation.

Best Burgers in the Capital Region. Everything in the burger was amazing, from the meat which had a lot of different flavors to the veggies, which were very fresh. Everything together was just something else, an experience I had never had eating a burger. I’m not a pickle person but I ate them with my burger because everything complemented each other so well. Also the blackened fries are amazing, nothing I’ve ever had before, definitely the best fries I’ve had as well. Lastly the customer service was top notch, Dave really seems to care about his restaurant/food, and also making sure the customer is completely satisfied. He seems very confident about his skills, and now I see why. After going the for the first time, I will definitely be back and try the rest of the menu.

Such an amazing find in downtown Schnectady! Daves one man show puts out amazing food from an eclectic menu. The burgers were delicious, as were the fries (we tried black fries and spicy fries). The Bison Masala Burger was spot on wonderful, as was the “Juicy Lucy with Chef’s Touch.” A must go to when in Schnectady! Please open a second location in Poughkeepsie Dave!

Do not be put off by the exterior of Dave’s Gourmet Burgers. This place has the best burgers by far. Everything is made to order by Chef Dave Khan. It’s clear he is passionate about his food and it truly shows. We were hesitant about the black fries…but as soon as we tasted one we were sold…amazing!! Dave’s Gourmet Burgers is an absolute must try. You will not be disappointed!!

The absolute BEST burger I have ever eaten. Words escaped me after my first bite but I can say that it was an emotional experience. From the moment you walk in you feel as though you have entered a family member’s kitchen. Dave is an incredibly inspired chef who pours his heart into his cooking and the pride he takes from seeing his customers happy is clear. I absolutely loved my marsala burger from the moment I smelled it. Highly recommended!
