First time me and my mother came here. The best burgers and veggie basket I’ve had in years. All fresh toppings for ur burgers. And they have corn dogs as well. Shocked to see hand dipped ice cream as well. I will be coming here more often. I live in Fort Wayne,In and its a quick trip to Garrett,In for Amazing Food & Drinks. Fresh Lemonade too!

Visited Dave’s Burgers for a quick bite. We opted to dine in for a late afternoon bite after working most of the day. The small, quaint burger joint offers a no frills burger, dogs, Sammy’s, and various fried items as well as ice cream experience.
The bacon cheese burger was tasty and well cooked with nicely crispy bacon. I also got a corn dog because… come on, it’s a corn dog! I loved it.
The fried cauliflower was good and the zucchini seems to be a popular choice and was unavailable when we visited.
Service wasn’t all that fast but they did seem to be doing a lot of carryout orders.
I recommend giving Dave’s a try. Maybe I’ll see you when I am stopping back by the joint for a shake or ice cream.

I went to Dave’s Burgers last week. I had a really hard time trying to decide what to get. Obviously, I knew I needed to get a burger. They have around 12 variations. I landed on the double burger with everything except tomato. (20 cents extra for that)
I usually get onion rings, but was definitely intrigued by the spicy fries. As I was looking at the other items, I decided the veggie basket was the way to go.
Their burger patties are made in house, so it tasted very fresh. Mine had cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles, and onions. It was a little too tall with the crispy lettuce, so it wasn’t long before I had to take that out. The burger was very meaty and they use my favorite style of nicer bun that squishes a little. Usually not desirable, but for this one it was just right.
The veggie basket had mushrooms, cauliflower, onion rings, zucchini, and green beans. It came out with a nice golden color. My only note on the basket is that the onions were just a little thin, so when they fried, they felt a little stringy instead of crunching.
Something that doesn’t happen often is that Dave’s has Pepsi products and Coke products. Not sure how they pulled that off, but you can get either brand.
I didn’t have ice cream because I knew I was going to get dessert somewhere else immediately after this visit.
I figured out that the building is a repurposed Dairy Queen. It was nicely painted on the outside and had some cool old fixtures inside. The two people working in the front were both very friendly.
I would definitely return to try the western burger. It got lots of comments on the video. I might also try the teriyaki burger with grilled jalapeno. That sounds interesting.
I would also like to circle bag for the spicy fries.

Little hole in the wall type location. Burgers were very good. Nice onion rings too. They had some sort of spicy fries that didn’t really do it for me but I can see where others would like them.

My wife’s mother and the two of us enjoy visiting Dave’s. Food is always delicious and affordable for us. Small town atmosphere, ice cream and shakes is the topping.

Imagine dairy Queen closed and you wanted ice cream and burgers in Garrett. Dave’s burgers is your place. Lots of yellow inside. 12 tables for 50 people with a couple of seats outside. What made me give them 5 stars is the patrons. An older couple walked in from a wheelchair for the counter. The staff was courteous to her and made the experience. The older couple comes once a week benc because it’s reasonably priced and has barbecue. My burger was okay. The mix-in (blizzard) had most toppings in the bottom. The old couple inspired me to give 5 stars

This is, by far, my favorite local place to eat! We’ve eaten here dozens of times and it’s never a disappointment. The burgers are the best around! I keep meaning to take a photo of our table full of food, but I always wind up scarfing my food down before I remember! I love the staff too! They’re always so friendly to us. It’s just a casual and chill, sit down, finger licking good burger eating type of place!

Great food, hot and served fast! The employees at the counter or drive up window are always friendly! If you’re looking for fine dining atmosphere, this is not it! It’s a locally owned burger/ice cream place that is the best you’ll find anywhere! You will not leave this place feeling hungry, or ripped off by “Shrinkflation” (Small portions, overly priced). Today, I ordered a breaded tenderloin and a small fry, with a 16 ounce drink. The tenderloin was delicious, and -even though it was supposed to be a small fry, I don’t think they could’ve fit one more french fry in the basket! I could not eat all of them!! -Oh, and the fries are the big crinkle-cut kind, which are by far my favorite!
I believe this restaurant used to be a Dairy Queen years ago, but Dave’s is making the very best of it, and keeping the place nice!
