Social Profile:

Davenport Maple Farm Restaurant is a breakfast restaurant celebrating the taste of maple syrup. Open seasonally from late February to early April, the restaurant allows guests to experience the first harvest of the season as we welcome you into our boiling room to watch us make the maple syrup that we will serve you upstairs in our restaurant. We make all of breads and batters from scratch using recipes that have been handed down over time and use as many local ingredients as possible including, milk, apples, apple cider, cider donuts, and locally roasted coffee. Our menu includes gluten free and vegan options. We do not take reservations and serve guests on a first come first serve basis, but offer generous portions and a friendly staff.

We just went for breakfast this morning (3/1/2025) after an absence of way too many years. We arrived around 9:30 and the place was hopping. They initially said it would be a 45 minute wait, but it actually turned out to be less than 10 minutes. We were greeted by a very lovely, smiling and upbeat young lady who took us to our table for 2, which was qickly followed by our equally lovely waitress. The food was excellent and the syrup of course was perfect. We enjoyed seeing the young families and couples all sharing large family style tables and enjoying the moment. Quick tip: get there around 10AM after the rush and you should get a table pretty quickly! The ride up to the farm is fun and provides an excuse to drive into the hills that you may not venture into otherwise. If you haven’t done it before, please go and treat yourself and your family, if like me you haven’t been back in quite sometime, GO because I regret missing past years of treating ourselves to this experience.
If you found this review helpful, please let me know by tapping the thumbs up. Thanks!

This place is open seasonally. This Year is from February 26 – April 3, 2022. Saturday and Sunday 8 am – 3 pm. I drove two hours to get here. And today was a snowy day. The drive was absolutely worth the experience. The place was jam packed. We waited about an hour to be seated. While you wait you can tour the sugar house while you wait. I met Lisa there and she explained the process. The food was great too. We had a short stack, mixed berry waffle, combo #2 and Walters favorite. Instead of pancakes we ordered Finnish pancakes. Maaaan those were absolutely wonderful. It’s kind of a hybrid between waffles pancakes and eggs. Devine. I highly recommend this place. And also they have farm made maple syrup. They mentioned that they made the batter freshly. It was quite a treat on a snowy day in New England.

Yearly visit so near to my heart. Used to get the Finnish pancakes which are outstanding – now the gluten free pancakes are the tops. Add whipped cream!

I wish I could leave a review without a rating. It’s not fair to this establishment that I review it because we never got a chance to eat there.

This review is to raise awareness to those who may decide to visit. We drove 1.5 hours to have breakfast. When we got there, we were told it would be 1.5 hour wait.

It’s way out of my values to have to wait that long and it’s certainly no one’s fault.

The hostess could not have been nicer. The lady in the room around the side where the sap was being boiled also could not have been more welcoming.

I was really high on the novelty of the experience, but it all disappeared with the wait time. If you’re going, be forewarned.

Very enjoyable experience. Great service and food. The maple syrup was super yummy. Kids and adults enjoyed learning how maple syrup is made. Can’t wait to come back!

Great Sugar Shack & breakfast experience. Well organized with a lovely & unique selection of food, which I really appreciated. Not just your standard fare of pancakes! And Every single person I met who was working there was Extremely pleasant, helpful & cheery. We were told it would be a 1 hr wait & it was cold & rainy outside, but we warmed up in the Evaporator room, which thankfully had coffee & donuts to keep up going until our name was called. I’ve been to all but 1 of these Sugar Shacks in western MA & this one: Highly recommend!

My first time at a true Sugar Shack. It’s only open in March, which is the syrup season in Western Mass. The made-on-site syrup was fantastic and made everything better. We had to wait a half hour, though didn’t mind as we spent it in the evaporation room, watching and learning about how they turned pure maple sap into delicious maple syrup.

It’s one thing if you’re racist but are you bad at your job too? You have literally 3 tables in your section.
Server asked “what do you want” and that’s the only time we saw her. No exaggeration. Server didn’t touch back with us at all after taking our order other than dropping off food. We figured maybe she is new and didn’t know how to do her job but had no problem checking with the white people right next to us multiple times. We tried getting her attention each time she checked with them and she just ignored us. Only had that first cup of coffee for the whole hour there even though we asked twice for more drinks and had to ask a host for water. To make things worse they had unseasoned and cold food… dry pancakes without any drinks or attentiveness from the server. Literally contemplated drinking syrup which was the only good thing at the table. Tip: if you didn’t like us so badly we could’ve left sooner if you dropped off the check with the food…

Great Pancakes! I love that they give you a small maple syrup bottle with your breakfast. Definitely off the beaten path put it’s part of the appeal. Tables are family style. So, depending on when you go you might be seated with another group but the service is great.

Beautiful mountaintop farm setting with views for miles. This restaurant is within an operating farm where the maple syrup is produced. we’ve loved everything we’ve had to eat here, especially the Finnish pancakes which are not easy to find anywhere else. The sausage is fantastic, well, seasoned. It’s just a simple, friendly spot for a great farm breakfast, great for groups. Off the main roads and well worth the drive.
