The atmosphere was incredibly cozy and had a lovely romantic charm, perfect for a relaxing evening. I ordered the halibut and requested a side dish change, which they were happy to accommodate, serving the new side separately. The fish was perfectly cooked, and the sauce was wonderfully flavorful. The pan-fried potatoes were tasty, though I wish they had been a bit warmer. My husband ordered a type of Wiener schnitzel, which was well-seasoned and came in a generous portion.
The waitress was super friendly, though there was a slight nudge to get us to order dessert.
All in all, it was a really nice dining experience with great food, a cozy setting, and wonderful beachside views.

Such great food and service! You can really tell the chef had carefully crafted the menu making exceptional North German cuisine in a gastronomic way. The service is superb and makes for an extraordinary experience. Prices are very fair. The ambiance in daytime is a bit drab, but once the sun goes down, the lighting is warm and ambiant!

Hands down amazing food and excellent service at this great restaurant. Would recommend it to anyone who is in the area.
We had the backfisch and it is a lot in terms of flavors as well as quantity!
And there’s so much attention to detail in the service, it really stands out in comparison to the industry today. Also for anyone who is disabled, the restrooms are actually on the same level (speaking as someone who is recovering from foot fracture and couldn’t get into any basement toilets when mobility was affected) and the women’s restroom also has a baby station.

This place serves the best salmon we’ve ever had. It’s been a few weeks since we dinned here and we are still talking about it!!

Location and Interior 9/10
The location was a bit hidden from the main walkway at the harbour, I reckon that it would be quite difficult to find just passing by. That said it was a nice quiet place with plenty of tables. The interior was modern and really nothing to complain about. The toilets and the restaurant were clean aswell. It would’ve been nice to have view on the water but that’s of course not always granted.
Staff 10/10
The Staff was very professional and friendly at the same time. They seemed to have a good eye for when you would need them. The food was being prepared relatively fast and the drinks came just after being ordered.
Food 9/10
The food was incredible, I had the salmon steak which was cooked to perfection, with it came potatoes and bacon. The waiter asked for a few preferences on the food which is of course pretty need. The food had food garnish that matched the food. All in all nothing to complain about, maybe you would wish for the food to be a little more exquisite but at the price point it’s excellent.
Overall I’d give it a 9/10

Just wow! Service is fast, professional and friendly, in other words very customer oriented. We got seated without reservation on a busy day and then they managed to rearranged tables so we could stay longer if we wished. Food is delicious, on of the best I ate. We took veggie burger and blackfish meal, both were super tasty. Dessert was nice as well. Interior is lovely and ambience is chill, even when full of people, doesn’t feel crowded. Highly recommend!

Our waitress Vivienne was so good , I can really count not too many like her in my life experience, and I am 74, from San Francisco, where food industry is high rated. I am first time in Lübek, without knowledge of German , I can attest, that our time spent in Das Kōstlich was super, thanks to Vivienne !
