We had a lovely welcome to this gorgeous little place. Really quirky and sweet decorations.
The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were very very knowledgeable about the menu so answered all our questions.
The food was delicious and beautifully presented (the egg and salmon was to die for!). The selection of interesting and tasty puddings was great.
There was a great selection of teas too which we enjoyed!
Overall, great value for money! Super friendly!! Would definitely recommend.

This was a great lunch!! Me and my dad had the teishoku and it was all delicious and you could tell that a lot of thought went into making it. The miso soup was the best I’ve ever tried !!! Someone else had the vegetarian curry and that was great too. We had toasted rice tea (can’t remember what it was called) and a chai latte that was sooo good. The place was really cute and the staff were lovely. We got a slice of cake to go and it was amazing. I’d highly recommend!

I had a fantastic time at Daruma Diner. The food, drinks, and cakes were absolutely delicious, and everything was served with great attention to detail. The staff were very friendly and happy to explain everything. The décor is inspired by Studio Ghibli, which I absolutely adore. I’ll definitely be back!

I’ve visited this new cafe three times now and feel like it’s time for an honest review. The owners are a young and friendly couple who live locally.

I tried their Teishoku set lunch with grilled miso salmon, miso soup, a big bowl of fluffy rice, rolled omelette and pickles. Everything was so delicious and i especially loved the spicy cucumber pickles it came with. I felt that it was such good value for £13.50.

They also bake their own Japanese style breads and cakes. My favourites are their Ogura Toast with homemade adzuki bean paste and their divine roll cakes. I had their matcha black sesame roll cake and the chocolate chestnut one. The cakes were soft and fluffy with a very flavourful fresh cream filling. One of the best ive tried.

I wholeheartedly welcome this new and interesting addition to Weston Village. Keep up the good work Max and Alex!

This place is so cosy & welcoming. Snacks and drinks are delicious. Reminds me of the cafe from before the coffee gets cold – can’t wait to visit again

What an utterly delightful place! I had the set breakfast with a matcha latte, and simply had to take some pastries to go. Highly recommend for both the food and the atmosphere.

Amazing little diner and much needed addition to Weston village.
The management staff Alex and Max have done an amazing job and should be very proud. The atmosphere is lovely, quirky, relaxed and cosy and the food, what can I say. Simply delicious. The cakes are the best I’ve had, delicious taste and texture without the excess sweetness. The matcha is the best in town too.
Overall amazing quality, taste, value, atmosphere and staff can be found at Daruma Diner.

Wonderful family business. The owners are very friendly and helpful and provide a cosy atmosphere. The food is great! I only had the Japanese Curry so far but it was the best I’ve had in Bath, and there were lots of happy customers around me with all kinds of interesting meals. Absolutely worth stopping by. Only open until 4pm though so this is more of a brunch/lunch kind of place.

After a busy morning at a children’s birthday party, my daughter had an amazing time and fell asleep in the car on the way home. I left her with my wife and slipped in for a cheeky solo lunch—and I’m so glad I did.

The food completely exceeded my expectations: beautifully presented, full of flavour, and with that comforting, homemade feel. Absolutely no regrets about my lunch choice.

Max and Alex were brilliant—friendly, down-to-earth, and genuinely great to chat with. None of that superficial small talk, just good people with interesting stories.

I’ll definitely be telling all my friends who work at the local hospital to stop by. I was already full, but to keep my wife happy I grabbed her a delicious-looking slice of sticky toffee cake.

Wishing these guys all the best with their business. No doubt I’ll be back very soon!
