I genuinely rock with Darling’s Tavern. I’ve dined in multiple times and grabbed takeout too, and every experience been solid. Their flatbread pizza is easily one of the best pizzas you’ll ever have — especially the regular cheese. That joint is a must-try first before you even start exploring the rest of the menu. The other pizzas are good too, but the cheese flatbread is the one you have to lock in with.
The mozzarella sticks? Straight one-of-one. I’m telling you, they don’t make them like that anywhere else I’ve had.
Pro tip combo: get the French onion soup with the veggie pizza. That pairing hits crazy and lowkey feels like a cheat code meal.
Shoutout to the bartenders too — I don’t drink alcohol, and they still hooked me up with a fire mocktail. Everybody behind the bar is friendly, welcoming, and knows what they doing.
If you’re in the Rittenhouse/downtown Philly area, it’s definitely a spot worth pulling up to. Full menu is strong across the board, and the desserts? Super fire.

Sooooo good!! It was my first time here & we came for brunch. Dinner here is also supposed to be really great. But we got an Italian greyhound & mimosa to drink. For food we got the french onion soup, chicken & waffles, and chicken schnitzel caesar. The French onion soup is a must order! My bf said the chicken & waffles wasn’t anything too special. The caesar was great, the chicken was so crispy & the salad was very fresh. Would def love to come back for dinner! The restaurant itself was very nice & a great date spot.

This restaurant is so beautiful! The menu is small but curated so you will definitely find something you’ll love. We got the salmon bowl which was amazing, and the sausage pasta which was also phenomenal. The decorations in this place are so gorgeous and there’s so much light and character in this place.

Wow, wish I’d tried this place sooner. Incredible, cozy vibe for a wintry date night. We came primarily for the French onion soup (which unsurprisingly was amazing) but we’re delighted by how delicious EVERYTHING was. Great drinks on top of that with some fun Sopranos theming. Only thing more surprising than all of that is how reasonably priced it is for a Center City joint. Cannot wait to come back!

Darling Jacks Tavern is a cute romantic spot for dates. A lot of dishes are meant to be shared. We got steak tartare with chips, which was really good and fresh, not gamey at all. Would’ve hoped for it to be slightly saltier, 4/5. The beet salad was interesting to say the least. It is mixed with pear, nuts, fennel, radish and cheese which all complemented each other, what a wonderful combination, 5/5. Lastly, of course we gotta have French onion soup. I’d recommend each person ordering one for themselves because it is very small. Otherwise, it was flavorful with different kinds of onions (raw, caramelized), imparting different textures, 4/5. With the environment and service, overall rating for me is 4.5/5. Would absolutely go back again!

Bustling busy place, loud but not too loud to talk some. Not a place for conversation though. Their specialty bun was way yummier than expected; recommended. Service was great. Their pepperoni and oregano pizza was really tasty. The menu is small which is a good thing here because they seem to do each dish really well. We sat by the kitchen and we’re impressed with the professionalism and how great every plate looked they sent out!

I don’t know how to leave this review without a very long paragraph lol. So, I’m going to make it short and sweet, and I am going to contact this restaurant and let the owners know the details. So here I go… abby was the hostess and she was absolutely amazing and helpful. Jason was our server who was incredible and so friendly. Most important, the chefs and their leader, Chris. Amazing job! This staff is an A+++. Most important thing about running a business is customer service and this staff is the best at it. Second, you know that you have a great staff and Great leaders when everything went smoothly and the food is amazing. I know I said I wouldn’t do a long paragraph but this is the short version of all the amazing things they have done. Can’t wait to go back. If you know your cocktails, you should have the Cosmo because it is the most amazing Cosmo I’ve ever had if that’s possible. The Smashburger and the butternut squash/arugula pizza where beyond.

Delicious! Darling Jacks onion soup is amazing! Their butternut squash and arugula pizza with garlic cream sauce was the perfect blend of flavors. It looked so good when it arrived at the table that we ate half of before I remembered to take a picture! We will definitely be back. 🙂
