Really good pizza and a great overall experience! The pizzas were tasty and well made.
The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the visit even better. The place itself is super cool, decorated with movie-themed items all around, and it gives the restaurant a really fun vibe.
Overall, a nice spot to hang out and enjoy a good pizza in a great environment!

Darkside After Dark Bar and Lounge

Darkside After Dark is an absolute hidden gem in the Boerne area (just a short drive from San Antonio) — a full bar lounge that’s dripping with epic 80s nostalgia, specifically themed around the classic Predator movie.
The moment you step in, you’re transported into the jungle chaos of the film: there’s an incredible crashed helicopter prop caught in a tree, along with other authentic-looking Predator memorabilia and details that make the whole space feel immersive and fun without being over-the-top. It’s the perfect spot for fans of the movie or anyone who loves a themed bar with character — dramatic lighting, lounge seating, and that cool, adventurous vibe.
But what really made the night was Daniel behind the bar. He’s an outstanding bartender — super attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. He made spot-on recommendations, mixed our drinks perfectly, and kept the energy great. Service like that turns a good visit into a memorable one.
Great cocktails, solid selection of beers and wines, and a relaxed lounge atmosphere that’s ideal for unwinding or hanging out with friends. If you’re in the Hill Country or San Antonio area, do yourself a favor and check this place out — especially if you geek out over Predator like I do. 10/10, will definitely be back!

The nostalgia in this place is incredible. As a Gen Xer, it was awesome to see toys I grew up with displayed on the walls. The amount of genuine movie memorabilia is the most I have ever seen in a restaurant. It’s everywhere, but not overwhelming, and it’s been thoughtfully curated. It’s not just Star Wars memorabilia; there’s a lot of classic ’80s and even ’70s items, creating an atmosphere that feels fun and familiar.

The food was good, and the brick oven is beautiful, but the timing was a bit off. I ordered two pizzas at the same time. One arrived about forty minutes after ordering, which is already a long wait. The second came about twenty-five minutes later. By then, my wife had finished eating, and I didn’t want to make her sit there for another half hour, so I asked for the boxes right away. I suspect the long wait is due to having only one oven. It looks fantastic, but the volume of business likely calls for a larger or second oven, as the delay was quite noticeable.

The service was okay, but not great. My server came by when I didn’t need anything, but vanished when I did. This made everything feel slower than it needed to, especially when I was trying to get the bill or a box.

On a positive note, I checked out the bar in the back, and the Predator theme is fantastic. However, I was surprised that there were no Predator-themed cocktails available on opening weekend. I ended up pulling up ChatGPT for some recipes, and the bartender made them, which was fun, but it would have been nice if the bar had some themed drinks ready to go.

If you love nostalgia, this place is worth a visit. The atmosphere is outstanding. My advice is to order everything at once, appetizers, pizzas, and even ask for boxes in advance, since you will likely take food home. Also, request the check when you order to avoid waiting for it later, as the service can be slow. I hope these issues get resolved, because the restaurant has a lot of potential, and I plan to return with friends to enjoy the atmosphere.

This the place to go if you love vintage or retro movies. They have life size replicas of the actors from many different movies. They also have a Predator themed bar in the back. No signature drinks or anything it is an open bar. No non-alcoholic options other than juice so be aware. This place is a great date night option for couples. The wait can be a little long at times as it can fill up during dinner time. Very traditional Pizza restaurant but no wings :(.

Absolutely a must if you live in central Texas. There is soooo much awesome 80’s pop culture packed into this place with plenty of Instagram worthy photo ops. The pizza is spot on and the appetizers are all on point. Staff was very friendly and accommodating for our large group and our pup with a pet friendly patio.
Can’t wait for the predator themed side to open. Definitely driving back out there for that !

Such a cool spot! The whole place is decked out in awesome ’80s movie memorabilia and decorations — it honestly feels like you stepped back in time. Everywhere you look there’s something nostalgic and fun to check out.
The food was excellent. The pizza was delicious, the sandwiches were fresh and packed with flavor, and everything came out just right. The service was just as great — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything even while it was busy.
If you love good food and a little throwback vibe, this place is definitely worth a visit!

Going to this place has been on our to do list for a few months now. We finally went tonight and it was a great experience. We did a half and half for the two pizzas that we ordered so we were able to try the brisket bbq pizza, the chicken bbq pizza, the meat lovers pizza, and the white margarita pizza. Each pizza type was very good. The white margarita pizza was the one that stood out the most though. Let me preface this by saying that I am not a margarita pizza fan but the flavors were outstanding together. The least favorite was the chicken bbq pizza. While it was good it just tasted somewhat bland and meh. The dough and toppings tasted exceptionally fresh and just downright good. Since the pizzas served at this restaurant are more along the authentic Italian style they are made with a thin doughy crust and they do not have a lot of sauce like the typical pizzas served at most other places. I also tried their lemon cake, cream brulee, & the skillet chocolate chip cookie with ice cream. Each of these desserts were good but just ok. The atmosphere along with the memorabilia of course is the coolest part of this restaurant. Any fan of the 80s and 90s movies toys, etc would definitely have their nostalgia fix.

The atmosphere is the catch. Nostalgic. We were excited about the cuisine options. We first started with the Bruschetta and I was a little disappointed. It looked better than it tasted. The flavors were good but underwhelming for $12. This made me a bit nervous but the pizza was great. It made up for it. We enjoyed the place and it took us down memory lane. It was fun to see a lot of the toys we had when we were younger. I mean the fact that they had RAD BMX bikes was worth it to me.
