Not sure what happened to this place …. This was the Go to Spot back in the days. I was there a few weeks ago and decided to meet a friend for drinks. I sipped my Drink and realized it wasn’t Patron. I then asked the Girl at the bar if I could please change this I wanted a Patron Margarita. She said I would have to be charged Twice . One for the new drink and then the drink I didn’t drink … She ended up taking the drink back but making the same drink as if I don’t know my Liquors lol this is what I do. She charged me for a Patron Margarita but just ended up giving me the same drink. Me nor my friend drank it . We just had a conversation and paid our tab when it was time to leave. Also she lied to me about being the manager. The security guard was nice and alert. Also the wings were pretty good. I’ve been coming to this place since I was 21 … I’m 39 and my taste has changed but it would have been nice to walk down memory lane with a decent drink. I would suggest just getting a beer or the basic cran or vodka and coke. Or Jameson and Ginger ale you can’t mess those ups. They are still open late which is cool and the music was still a good time. Just the Bar service I received lacked. If she only knew how good of a tipper I am when the drink is good and how politeness goes a long way as I would have blessed her with a tip of appreciation.

My boyfriend and I order from the Dark Horse in Farmingdale at least once a week. We regularly order the California wraps with either sweet potato fries or onion rings and the brie pretzels with fig jam appetizer. We have NEVER had a bad experience and have been going there for about two and a half to three years. The service and food are consistently excellent. I highly recommend the Dark Horse in Farmingdale — it is my favorite go to spot in Farmingdale!

I had my 30th birthday party at Dark Horse and everything was perfect! The outreach and constant communication with Jay was consistent and helped so much in making my event go as well as it did. I had a private room and the space was beautiful, big, and clean. The staff working that night were incredible, they did everything possible to make sure the night ran smoothly. The staff helped so much with decorating, passing around and setting up food, assisting with music, ensuring privacy and security, as well as running a great bar. Everyone working at Dark Horse was so kind and easygoing and treated myself and my guests with respect and made sure everyone had a great time- which they did. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking to rent out a room for a private event.

The server was great! Perfect example of a tavern! Amazing variety of beers on tap. They had a great bloody Mary and the Jamison neat was a proper pour. If you visit this great town, make this a stop.

Always have frequented Dark Horse in Farmingdale often but we did a private event recently and it was phenomenal! Service and setup with Jay beginning to end was a breeze. He made sure I was happy with everything multiple times through the party. Servers were great. food and drinks were also great. Highly recommend a private event here!!

Love the decor! Beautiful bar. They have a garage door that opens in the summertime. It brings the outside in. The bartenders are really good. They have a couple TVs, I love the seating at the bar. This is a great place to hang. Definitely leans toward the younger crowd.

The staff at Dark Horse is great. We were at a party last night on the back patio area and they did a great job. We were eating all apps/sides which were all also really good. Park in the municipal lot behind the strip and you can walk in the back door.
