Here on a work assignment from out of state and came across this mom and pop shop which has Amazing food and very friendly people! I got the crab cake sandwich and the boom boom shrimp both of them are absolutely delicious! Definitely recommend this place if nearby!

I am so upset that I didn’t learn about this place sooner. I have been working my way through the menu, and the only negative thing I can say, about the food is, the pastrami is too juicy. The chicken is fried perfectly, with a crispy skin and coating. And who toast the bun on a hotdog? They do. Best hotdog I’ve ever eaten.

A conversation about what was the best chicken in the Newport News/Hampton/York County area came up and the Dare Deli was brought up several times. Well I will admit I was skeptical when I was told this out of the way location was the best? But so far out of all the places I’ve visited so far in this region the Dare Deli has everyone beat! So if you are in the area definitely stop by and try for yourself. The hospitality was on point also!!
