Small upscale Farm-to-Table restaurant, focused on the beauty and bounty of the Pacific Northwest. We partner with our local farmers, ranchers and fishers to inspire our menu and its weekly changes. The menu focuses on local, seasonal and simple preparation of PNW food, organic and natural wines and we bring that all to you along with stellar service.
Reservations recommended.

We did the tasting menu with wine pairing and we were treated to an excellent food, wine and service experience. The wines were very thoughtfully selected to match each course, as you would expect, but they did an exceptional job of this compared to similar experiences we’ve had. I strongly recommend the pairing. Each course was visually appealing with unique and unexpected flavor/taste journeys. ‘Journey’ is an overused term, but feels really appropriate here as each dish seemed to me to have a beginning (oh, wow), middle (new flavor discovery) and end (regret and shame for consuming the course like my overenthusiastic labrador).
From what I understand the menu changes very frequently based on the availability of local ingredients, so there isn’t much value in descriptions. Knowing this, I didn’t bother really examining the menu and instead went for the omakase experience. I learned about each course as it was presented by our exuberant and knowledgeable waiter. I loved it.
I would describe the ambience as ‘understated rehab’ and it fits perfectly with the overall vibe of Astoria. And while formal from a service and dining perspective, it’s incongruently casual and I love that. I think that’s the way it should be.
The restaurant was full, but I experienced very attentive, well orchestrated service with careful attention to timing on a busy Saturday night. Couldn’t have been better.

This is arguably the best restaurant in Astoria, and possibly the best on the Oregon Coast. Google only allows 5 stars, so I’ll add a sixth one here +⭐. Wanted to find a nice place to treat my wife while visiting Astoria, and Daphne’s was the perfect choice. Fantastic service, and everything we ordered was amazingly good. Will definitely add this to our ‘must come back’ list. Thanks!

It’s a treat to have such a lovely spot in Astoria. The food is fantastic, the service is attentive yet low-key and the setting is classic Astoria. We’ve been multiple times since they opened and have never been disappointed.

What an incredible, awesome, delicious, and fun evening! My wife and I enjoyed a tasting menu with wine pairings this past week and were completely blown away. Our server, the manager, as well as the chef, guided us through an array of delicate and wonderfully subtle flavors of the Pacific Northwest. Fresh farm/ship to table offerings were highlighted in every dish, including smoked salmon, clams, duck (two ways), and blueberries. Each dish was comprised of only a handful of ingredients, and each of those layered for delicious effect. A special call-out on the cauliflower cream with soft egg yolk and brown butter, wow. We also noted small & large plates sent to other tables around us that were just as beautiful and exquisitely prepared as ours. For those who enjoy a fresh, rotating menu featuring seasonal ingredients prepared by an incredibly talented culinary staff (with special nod to the owner/chef and his saucier talents), look no further. It obvious both owners are dedicated to their craft, their restaurant, their staff, and to making sure their guests receive a truly memorable experience. Though our trip to Oregon/Astoria from Kansas City may not get repeated anytime soon, we will most definitely keep Daphne in mind, monitor the internet for their continued success, and look for any opportunities to enjoy their offerings again.

I’d like to give atmosphere 4 stars, but they let me pick my table, so I can’t complain (too close to the bathrooms and dark due to room divider). The apricot, peach and cheese small plate was amazing – perfectly ripe fruit, so creamy delicious cheese, and the greens were the perfect contrast to the sweet fruit. The croquets were smooth on the inside and crisp on the outside – Very mild fish. The star of our meal was the sable fish. 10 out of 10 for sure. Perfectly cooked with a seasoned crispy skin and moist, buttery, tender meat. The chicken in with a mushroom wine sauce was just behind the fish in deliciousness. It was also perfectly cooked and seasoned – excellent choice of wine for the sauce. The meal was worth every penny.

Last night, for my birthday, I went to Daphne with my husband. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile. The staff was absolutely wonderful, taking the time to answer our questions and offer personal recommendations. The service was exceptional—my drink was always full, and plates were promptly cleared, leaving the table uncluttered.
When the food arrived, we were blown away by the skill and attention to detail in the presentation of each dish. However, nothing could compare to the extraordinary flavors. Jake has truly mastered the art of pairing flavors, and with every bite, my palate was bursting with fireworks. Every detail—from the service to the drinks and the food—was breathtaking.
This restaurant is a true gem, and their commitment to supporting the local community by using fresh, local ingredients is refreshing. Plus, they donate a percentage to local charities, which is admirable.
If you’re looking for an all-around amazing establishment, Daphne is it! You will not be disappointed!

When we went for dinner, most of the tables were empty, and even though we had a reservation, we had to wait in the seats near the door. The staff were very polite and attentive, but the prices were extremely expensive for a restaurant like this. The gnocchi was extremely bad and tasteless. The cheese on top was as cold as if it had just come out of the refrigerator. The sea bass was incredibly salty, and the sauce wasn’t well-prepared. It’s definitely not a place we would choose again, and it doesn’t deserve these high prices.

I was excited to try Daphne and I was pleased with the location and ambiance. My husband and I had a 5:45 reservation and we were seated promptly. We ordered 2 appetizers a bottle of wine and dinner at the same time which was around 6. The appetizers came out quickly as did the wine. All were tasty. We waited for over an hour for our entrees. A couple came in about a 1/2 hour after us, they were seated at the table right next ours. They got their appetizers followed by their entrees promptly. They were leaving and we still did not have our entrées. The server never touched base and neither did the hostess. It was obvious we had been waiting a loooooong time. We were there so long we ended up ordering a third appetizer. At the very least we should have been comped the appetizer. There are many excellent places to eat in Astoria. Walking out at 7:30 with a 5:45 reservation…um nope.

I absolutely loved the dining experience at Daphne. Our server was amazing and was so helpful with recs for our appetizer and main course. Every dish was amazing and felt very clean and fresh. They had a fantastic wine selection we really enjoyed. I’ve definitely saved this spot to return to. I’ve also recommended this spot to friends and coworkers when they’re at the coast

Absolutely wonderful experience from the second we walked in the door.
Kitchen staff having a good time and being very positive, the server was incredibly friendly and enjoyable to chat with. The menu has a lot of great choices for people’s palate!
And don’t get us started on the good. Absolutely amazing skill coming from the both the chefs output and the menu items combination!
Really an amazing meal and worth the higher cost than normal for a dinner! Highly recommended!
