I ordered a pizza on Friday to be delivered at 5:15pm and did not receive it till 6:45pm. It was cold and I had ordered another pizza from somewhere else because thought I was not going to get the pizza. I was told by the driver that they were really busy. I had already paid for it so I couldn’t tell them I did not want it. He told me it was still hot when I asked. It was not even warm. I have never had a problem with this pizzeria before. I was made the order was so late and was lied too about it still being warm. I would rate the food 4 stars normally and service a five but I rated this experience only. All I wanted was my money back and have not herd back from anyone

With so many pizza places in the capital district it’s hard to find ones with good NY style pizza. Dante’s is all about pizza and it shows, their pizza is fantastic. Sauce isn’t too sweet or too much oregano, homemade dough, quality cheese, cooked to a perfect crisp. Also their wings are very very good, some of the best I’ve had (flavorful and just the right amount of crisp). Definitely give them a shot if you’re looking for some good specialty pizza & wings!!

Friday nights are made for a nice steak sandwich. Dante’s does not disappoint. Their steak sandwich is packed with steak and cheese. I like to add sauce on mine and they’re always willing to put that on the side for me. Another bonus is the side of fries that comes with the sandwich, they are amazing. So if you’re looking for a very flavor filled, fat steak and cheese sandwich, you will not be disappointed, give Dante’s a call. Your stomach will thank you.

Dantes has cancelled my order now over 4 times across various delivery apps. This time i waited longer than 30 minutes just to to recieve the vendor cancel email. Very unreliable business that could care less about it’s patrons and the community that supports them. I have contacted them on each occasion to inquire about why the cancellation to which the response is always go kick rocks and deal with it. Frankly this is this is the last time I will order from them or even pick up from them. Other spots in troy will gladly deliver.

We’ve gotten takeout there a couple times. Really good pizza. Really enjoy it every time. There was a mixup last time, where they made our pizza with peppers and onions instead of pepperoni, but they fixed a new pizza Really quickly. Very friendly.

I ordered two different styles of pizza (Sicilian and Hand Tossed both of which were cheese only) from them late one night (a bit before they closed).
Both crusts were satisfyingly doughy (in a way that was also thoroughly baked), especially the Sicilian with its thick crust. The hand tossed had a distinct slight “pizza oven” flavor cooked into the bottom. It seems as though both are cooked in slightly different ways (which is pretty good attention to detail in a pizza place).
The sauce was nuanced and differed between the two styles. The Sicilian had a sweeter, more subtle sauce that had little whispers of tang and spice. The hand tossed had an extra bite to how tangy and spicy it was but the flavor seemed to dance around and shift as I ate.
The cheese on the Sicilian was stringy and gooey and blended perfectly with the style of the crust.
Overall it was a very, very good experience. Their delivery was very quick, their price was reasonable, their delivery driver was attentive and courteous, and the food was excellent. I would definitely order delivery from them again (especially since I ordered from GrubHub).
One particularly interesting note on the nuance of their flavor: it took my 2-3x as many bites to go through and really describe their flavor as it usually takes me. I’ve written a fair amount of pizza reviews and I’ve eaten many pizzas from all over the United States and the flavor here was among one of the most complex I have ever tasted. Excellent.

I haven’t gotten a chance to order since they’ve changed their hours. I know a lot has changed since the pandemic but I think if they opened an hour later, and stayed open an hour later, it would Benefit them (or maybe not). It’s crazy, most places stayed open until at least 9pm. That’s not the case anymore Unfortunately.
