This is possibly the best pizza in Connecticut. Best kept secret. Absolutely delicious!

We were excited to try Dantes Pizza because we had just moved to the area and wood oven pizza is our favorite. We were so disappointed to get our pizza and see that the entire crust and bottom of pizza was beyond black(shown in the pictures we posted). We know it’s normal to have some black around the pizza but this was outrageous. They should definitely clean their oven more often. We would’ve brought the pizza back but the woman at the counter was extremely unfriendly, giving us dirty looks and talking to us with an attitude. Not to mention that the pizza is extremely expensive and obviously not worth it if it’s all black. We paid $24 for pizza with two toppings and it only had six slices. Wow rude employees and burnt pizza—never coming back.

14″ wood fired pizza.
The best is Bee Sting (spicy salami, cherry peppers, spices honey). $22 pricy but good
It’s in a shared dining area with Miyuki and Greens On The Go.

Good pizzas, thin and nearly crispy crust cornichon. Basic NY style cheese was great and the pies were bigger than expected. Outdoor food hall type environment was really enjoyable, particularly in the current covid-19 world.

Amazing pizza! I haven’t had many pizzas in the tri state areas that even resemble that of a classic napoletana pie. I personally disregarded the “burnt” or overcooked reviews brick oven is cooked at 900-1100 degrees. If you enjoy classic pizza napoletana then this is the place to go! If you’re looking to spend less then 20 dollars(which is of course fine as I mainly get 14 dollar large pies from belltown pizza in Stamford) and still enjoy a great football type pizza then any local pizzeria should be more up your alley. The difference in price is caused by the use of better materials, the dough, mozzarella, tomatoes. Overall I think the pizza is amazing and true to style, but at the same time it isn’t for everyone.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. Did not disappoint! Pizza was delicious, plus I picked up a chocolate chip cookie at the counter to go. One of the best cookies I’ve ever had! 10/10 highly recommend Dante’s.

Plain pie was very good! Thin and crispy, but not burnt. I will be back to “test” again for sure!

Cheese pizza is very good. Sauce tasted great and very good sauce/cheese ratio. I would give it a 7.8 on the “one bite everyone knows the rules” scale. Love the char but was not crispy, that’s what kept it out of the 8’s for me. Had bacon on another pie, that wasn’t crispy enough either. Also pricey for such small pies.

I specifically asked them no burns, what I got is the most of burns you can have. Very unhealthy! My first ever negative review, sad!

Got a half NY cheese and half Margherita. Margherita was the best I’ve ever had, NY cheese was up there too but wouldn’t call it best ever. You’re gonna have a great pizza if you order from here. I also like the simple atmosphere for sit down – it’s a shared seeting area with a few other restaurants and the pizza was served on the cooking tray with paper plates. Bare basics and awesome pizza
