Got to stop in there had been coming in and out for the past couple years, food was down a little bit came back this time. Last few times the chicken was fresh looking, the fries were golden, the atmosphere was better, I actually met the owner. A young man very nice. I will say that my order was messed up, and instead of us coming back to get it,,the owner on his way home, he delivered to us so never forget that

I haven’t received great customer like the kind I just received in some time. This was my first time going into this business but was welcomed warmly as if I was a regular. The handsome man who took my order was funny and charming. He referred to me as a young lady and let’s be real…flattery will get you everywhere ;).
Food was delicious. From the chicken to the hot apple pie.
Keep it up guys!

Had a dental appointment in Robertsdale today and when I realized it was near Danny’s I decided to pick up dinner there. Danny’s in Fairhope closed after the pandemic and we missed the best chicken in town. I waited 30 minutes in the drive thru. Four cars, 2 in front and 2 behind me left before even ordering. Even saw a woman park and walk to the drive through window and knock to get her food. When I arrived at the delivery window, was greeted by a wonderful young man who apologized for wait time. The lobby was closed as the printers weren’t working and the workers were taking each order by hand. I told him I appreciated that things happen and I was ok waiting 30 minutes for their fried chicken. And his face dropped, he said we are trying our best to get orders out more quickly. I felt horrible as I meant it as a compliment. I thanked him for staying sane in a stressful situation and hoped more customers were understanding and not escalating an already stressful environment for something out of their control. I ordered five dinners. Order was perfect. Chicken was 90% great. But that had more to do with my 25 minute drive home and needing to re—crisp it in the oven. The big take away was the ethic and integrity and kindness of the employees, while problem solving. And the fact that the line at the drive thru stayed 6-7 cars deep even with those who left. That says much about their product! I hope that is due to the work culture created by the owners. And the three gentlemen I interacted with this evening deserve some recognition.

I will say, the building needs work but don’t let that keep you away. The fried chicken had a great flavor. Fried okra and potato salad were both good. Service was excellent.

The food had no flavor no seasoning the place of the old rundown the tables were sticky and nasty and it was very hot and damp smelling which is probably because of all the people in this little bitty room sweating and burning up

Best tasting fried chicken and okra for miles. If we cross the bay from Mobile its Alegri & Danny before we leave the area.

The best thing to do when you take over a business is stick to the product. Chicken recipe changed very spicy compared to before. The biscuits your using a imitation flavor butter more dense. The coleslaw shouldn’t look like spaghetti sauce on your plate a quarter of the container was liquid. Very sour coleslaw. The potatoes are fake they had real mashed potatoes before. The owner doesn’t want prices on the drive thru only inside. Sure do miss the sweet lady at the front window was nice at the drive thru. When you go cheap to earn money you loose the original home town business.
