Hands down, one of the best dining experience I’ve had. My Mother and I was looking for a good soul food restaurant and we came across Danny’s I called and they told us what’s on the menu and that they will be closing in 30 minutes. We was visiting from out of town didn’t know our way around the restaurant’ called me back ask were we still coming before they closed. They mentioned there buffet menu the first time, when they called back they mentioned that we also can order off the menu we ordered Fried catfish, Okra and potato salad. My mom said, thats how she like her okra not breaded just cooked just right with cornmeal everything was so fresh the food was absolutely delicious. Mr. Oscar said he was waiting for us. This restaurant exceeded all expectations of customers service from everyone was so nice and friendly. The staff made us feel at home the moment we walked in. We will be back.

The food was good, but it didn’t make me to want to slap my momma. It’s very pricey, though. I got a vegetable plate which consisted of 3 veggies (not 4 like most places for that price) and cornbread and I think it was like $16 not including tea and dessert and they weren’t what I would call large portions. We were the only people in line and it took them about 15 min or more to serve our plates and check us out. Very disorganized service, but really nice folks. They were fully honest and clear with the message on the bottom of their board that it was “not fast food”. I do not recommend trying to slide through the blue plate line if you have a time limit for lunch. Make sure you have the time and patience to spend there. I enjoyed looking at the pictures on the walls.

First time visit was delightful surprised. The food was delicious. The restaurant was very clean and neat. The staff was extremely nice. We had the hamburger steak and fried chicken and they were delicious. The banana pudding was homemade and outstanding.
