First of all, do NOT believe the bad reviews you see here. For 5 years I’ve ordered from Danny’s at Courthouse Road, at least once a week, and they NEVER disappoint. The Pizza is always good, wings are always good, the Italian salad is outstanding. And guess what? They are CLEAN. Never gotten sick from a meal here. Sams, Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, all of us in this house have gotten sick from. Never Danny’s in 5 years. Be thankful there’s a place like this still operating, even in COVID-19 they haven’t changed their standards. Clean, simple, tasty food. Even if its a busy night and takes an hour, so what? Drivers live on tips, don’t be a jerk.

Needed to get some pizzas for my highest average 2nd quarter class, decided on Danny’s, mainly due to the proximity to Courtland. Got 4 xtra large pizzas, around 70 after tip. Meat Treat 3/5, as you can see by the picture, kinda sparse. Delight 4/5, lots of toppings on that one. Cheese 4/5. Jalapeño 5/5. Would have loved to see some sort of ‘teacher discount’, but oh well. Kids thoroughly enjoyed the pizza, 13 kids destroyed them, only crusts left. Overall, would do this again.

Called in a takeout order for a calzone and went very smooth. Calzone was very fresh and cooked perfectly, plenty of ham and ricotta. They gave me the perfect amount of sauce in a cup too. The price was great too for the size of the calzone. They also threw in a plastic fork and knife in the box too which I thought was nice. I’m very happy and will be back.

I have ordered many times from Danny’s, and usually find the pizza to be a decent quality for a decent price. But my experience tonight was so frustrating, that I felt obligated to share. My intent is not to deter anyone from ordering from them. But rather, I’d like the owners to understand how their policies affect (and can sometimes frustrate) their customers.

We have company visiting, so we ordered a couple pizzas. I was told it would be 50 minutes, which is fine. That’s pretty normal for this area. When the pizzas arrived, one was correct, and the other was wrong. My company wanted half ham and half sausage, but as seen in my photo we received half ham, half mushroom. Mistakes happen, I understand that.

I called Danny’s to explain that one of the pizzas was incorrect. At first, I was assured it was correct, since their ticket said “half ham, half sausage”. Yes, that’s what I ordered, but that’s not what I received. I was told the driver would have to come back by to verify. In an effort to expedite things, I offered to take a photo and send it to somebody. “Oh no sir, we trust you. Its just we have a policy”. Ok. So I asked what I had to do to get it corrected. I was told they would send the driver back to pick up the incorrect (half incorrect) pizza and bring it back to them so they could remake my pizza. There are two problems with that: First, my company had already started to eat from the incorrect pizza because they didn’t want to be a bother. Second, by the time this policy was fully executed, it would probably be at least another hour before the second pizza arrived correctly. That didn’t seem like a viable option. I was hoping they could just expedite a new pizza out to me, but it seems that was not an option.

Long story short, we ate the correct portions of the pizza. And I ended my phone conversation with the employee (manager or owner, I’m guessing) very abruptly and angrily, which I am a little resentful of. I was just overly frustrated that they couldn’t believe a mistake was made, and they didn’t seem very apologetic. Other pizza joints in the area usually “jump through hoops” to make sure the customer is happy. This was not the feeling I had tonight.

Danny’s has good food at a fair price. They have daily cash specials so be sure to check for those. They offer buy one get one free on their pizzas. I get tired of chain restaurants and really try to support the local community. Danny’s is worth giving a try.

I go there sometimes with my girlfriend who is deaf, and the food is outstanding. I am a Californian native, and their food tasted just like the Italian restaurants in Los Angeles…their business has exceptional talent in their work and their food…they could really grow into a large business with that talent. So much potential, so much love put into their food. Always going back for more! Worth every penny spent! My favorite is their subs and calzone…haven’t tried their pizza yet.

Great customer service. One of my favorite places to order from. Every time I go in the owners/workers are extremely kind to me.
10/10 pizza, 20/10 mozzarella sticks and 10/10 baklava

You people leaving bad reviews need to reconsider your life choices and learn some respect.

(Also after reading more reviews…. they do not scam you nor to they overcharge. They’ve had the buy one get one free on pizzas for years. And stop being such food snobs, the place is a pizza joint and the prices are reasonable. I wouldn’t eat it if it wasn’t good. Stop leaving bad reviews. Thank you)

We enjoy the pizzas. They are cooked kind of like a New York/Brooklyn style which I love. The wings are really good. Again, different style but delicious. Philly cheese steak is also extremely good here. We have tried a lot of the menu and haven’t had a food complaint. Have y’all considered going organic and changing to Danny’s Organic Pizza and Subs to fill a much desired niche in the food community? That would be a great one up on yourself

The bad reviews, as you could read, mostly are people who don’t like their style. It’s obviously not for everyone. But if you desire a great quick bite for lunch or a pair of BOGO pizzas for dinner, this place you must try.

Pizza was okay, but the service was outstanding. The delivery driver dropped our soda can and it busted open. He offered to get us a new one, but we declined. We didn’t want him to go through the trouble. Not even 10 minutes later he arrives with a new can of soda. Appreciate him going the extra mile. Literally!

Great pizza!! But honestly poor customer service. They called twice within 5 minutes when I was on the way to puck up pizza. Traffic was heavy accident on the way. Then when we called to say that poor customer service said that is our policy if you don’t like don’t come here. Diffently still getting Danny’s pizza the change is going the extra mile to Lee Hills which provided us a credit to are account for there poor service that’s great customer service.
