Fantastic. I grew up in Lakewood, and Danny’s Carnation was a staple of the community. It is great that they were able to open in this new location. I have been a few times now, and every time is a winner. Great quality, and a ton of food for the money. This place, just like the old Carnation, has become a regular in our breakfast rotation.
I recommend the steak and eggs and the biscuits and gravy, although you really can’t go wrong.

Go for the MANY televisions (mostly sports) and drinks. Service was excellent, friendly and attentive, drinks were excellent and good sized. The downside: food was barely passable. Steak was tough and chewy, could not finish it. Chicken parm was okay, but thin tasting sauce and not fresh mozzarella. So, go for lively atmosphere and drinks – watch the game at the bar but IMO eat before.

My lovely Bride, youngest kiddo and I stopped in to
Danny Ray’s after a Jr. football playoff game in Lakewood. We like to visit local when we can, which is why Danny’s was chosen.
We were greeted and sat right away. The staff was friendly and our waiter was attentive and made sure we were never missing anything at our table or with our order.
We were there in time for happy hour, which hardly ever happens for us! We took advantage and along with a beer and a house margarita, we ordered a pickle shot and a spicy pickle shot. Oh my, these can be dangerous! They were so delicious, we could have sworn it was just pickle juice.
We ordered Jalapeno Verde Queso and chips. This came out quickly and the chips were warm. The three of us enjoyed this while we waited for our food. We all agreed, we would definitely order this again.
My son ordered a bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. My Bride and split a California chicken sandwich with jalapeno coleslaw. The kiddo loved his burger and onion rings. It was cooked medium just as he ordered.
My Bride loved the chicken sandwich, but I thought it was just okay and dry. We did split it, so maybe I got the thinner piece of meat. The coleslaw was good with just the right amount of spice. Overall, we would order it again.
While we were almost done, staff (and I assume one of the owners) made sure everything was done right, joked with us and the kiddo. Definitely made us feel comfortable and like we were regulars on our first time here.
We oredered a piece of carrot cake to share. Sorry, it looked so yummy with the cream cheese frosting, we ate it before we thought of taking a photo. It was much bigger than we were expecting, moist and delicious.
If back this way, we will definitely stop!

Fantastic experience at Danny Ray’s from start to finish. Everything was amazing. The server and all the staff for that matter were all very attentive and seemed to be happy to be at work. Love to see that. Keep up the great work all. Will definitely come again if ever in the area.

We found this place by accident, but it turned out to be one of the best breakfast places! I had the chili relleno breakfast skillet with over easy eggs on top. It was mouthwatering delicious! Definitely coming back!

Service was quick and freindly. Big menu to choose from. Food was delivered very fast. Everything we ordered was cooked perfect and tasted great. It was just a little loud for my kids but understandable because the Brocos/Bills game was on.

I came here due to the high ratings. I was not disappointed. The entire staff was very friendly. Menu has so much to choose from. I went with the breakfast for dinner (Hungry Man). Biscuits and sausage gravy were outstanding! Go check this place out.
